For full-screen photos, please click on the corresponding images Arya – a special female dog is waiting for her happy ending Arya is a beautiful Husky-Mix female dog, born on 03.05.2019, approximately 65 cm tall and 28 kg in weight. Her life began in a family where there was always something going on. But over time, the children and grandchildren moved out to follow their own paths, and in the end, only the mother remained, who lovingly cared for AYRA. When the mother had to move into a care home last year, her son took on the responsibility for Arya. But in a small apartment without enough space, he could not provide her with what she needed. Reluctantly, he had to surrender her, and so Arya found herself in a shelter eventually. On 03.05.2026, her fate took a turn for the better, as she was allowed to move into a loving foster home near Málaga. There, she showed from the start her calm and balanced nature. She moves quietly through the house, gets along wonderfully with the existing dog group, and even met the cat with great composure. Arya is house-trained, sleeps through the night problem-free, and has quickly settled in. She has chosen the guest bed as her little retreat, where she finds peace and feels safe. She walks nicely on the leash and is well-callable, making living with her very pleasant. Arya is a very special female dog with a loving nature, who longs more than anything to be part of a family that gives her security, time, and affection. If you are interested in Arya, Petra looks forward to your contact via phone or email at . A foster home or a foster home with a stay option would also be wonderful. Arya is typically rehomed with the protection of animal welfare. She is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Here you can find us: www.hund-tut-gut.deinfo-tut-gut.

About Arya

What life with Arya looks like

Arya is a large adult husky dog waiting at Hund-tut-gut e.V. in Sehnde.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund-tut-gut e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund-tut-gut e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund-tut-gut e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
