Beate und Quentina

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Quentina and Beate are two charming rabbit sisters who are now on the lookout for their forever home. The two were born at our shelter, after their mother came to us from poor husbandry. As she unfortunately couldn't care for her offspring, the little ones were lovingly hand-reared. Today, Quentina and Beate have grown into curious and people-oriented young rabbits. They show trust towards their familiar persons and explore their surroundings attentively and with interest. Beate, in particular, stands out with her fluffy fur – there might be a long-haired rabbit breed in her ancestry. Therefore, she needs regular fur care to keep her beautiful fur from matting. Quentina, on the other hand, has normal fur and prefers to support her sister in their joint mischief-making and cuddling. Currently, the two live on a foster home and are already familiar with various everyday sounds as well as living with other animals. For them, we wish for a loving home in an open suitable-for-apartment living environment, as they are accustomed to life in the house. An adequately secured outdoor run with plenty of space for hopping and exploring would also be a lovely option. Who would like to give Quentina and Beate a loving home together?

DE·Show original

About Beate und Quentina

What life with Beate und Quentina looks like

Beate und Quentina is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Lüneburg in Lueneburg.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Beate und Quentina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Beate und Quentina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Lüneburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Beate und Quentina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Beate und Quentina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Lüneburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Beate und Quentina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Beate und Quentina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Lüneburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Beate und Quentina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
