BOMER

Mixed Breed · Male

English-Settler discarded for not being suitable for hunting after a lifetime of being used for it. He has hit the lottery because now he has the chance to finally experience living surrounded by love and affection. He has a very noble, sociable, and affectionate personality. He is good with children, and is social with all the dogs he knows, so he could live as a single dog or with other dogs in the same home. He shows no fear, and is affectionate and social with all the people he knows. He is a wonderful companion that you can take everywhere with you. He can live on a floor or in a home with an outdoor area. He has not yet been tested with cats, but we can test him. He needs an angel to give him a chance, could you be him? I want to meet BOMER. What does he need? He doesn't need a foster home. MASCOT PARENTS: He needs a mascot or a parent. Currently, he doesn't have one. Would you like to be his parent? What does being a dog parent entail?. Not suitable for homes with other dogs.

About BOMER

What life with BOMER looks like

BOMER is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Adopta en los Abedules in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting BOMER, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BOMER?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopta en los Abedules handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BOMER on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BOMER if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopta en los Abedules will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BOMER already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BOMER isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopta en los Abedules early rather than rehoming privately; they know BOMER and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
