Cosmo

Male · Young · 1 year

Cosmo was found together with Caleb, who we believe is his father, as they look very similar. Cosmo is a young mixed breed boy, with beautiful white fluffy fur, and one brown eye, one blue eye. He is full of love, energy and joy for life! Cosmo has such a positive and enjoyable presence, he is very enjoyable to be around. Being a young boy, Cosmo is lively and playful, and enjoys being around humans and other playful & social dogs. His favourite place to play is in the sand, and he also loves to climb into your pocket for snacks, and sniff out dead mice (eww!). In the shelter, Cosmo lives together with a pack leader big male and an excited, energetic female. During his day out of the shelter, he has met different dogs, and is excited and open to meet them. Being an adolescent boy, Cosmo still have manners and social behaviours to learn - for example at the moment he is jumping up still and sometimes approaches new dogs by excited barking. However, since Cosmo is young, curious, is food-motivated and has a very positive mindset, then he is quick to teach and train. While he can be a little excitable at first, he listens well when given clear guidance and quickly calms down. Cosmo travels well in the car once he settles in after a few minutes. He’s very affectionate and loves to cuddle, anywhere you are. Cosmo is confident, friendly, and trusts everyone he meets. He enjoys being petted and brushed and is not afraid of new experiences. He walks nicely on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, playfully inviting them to interact. This cheerful, brave, and loving dog would thrive in an active home that can give him plenty of play, attention, and affection. He could join a home that already has a social, friendly dog, or he could also be an only dog of a family, who likes to go meet other dogs on walks, so he can continue to grow into a well socialised adult. Cosmo is not afraid of different & new situations, so he could also live in a town environment, perhaps even in a city. Of course, living close to the nature is always great for a dog, but he is flexible and could adjust to different homes and environments. He is also kind with children, just that due to him being excited to kiss humans and jump up for snacks, then the children of the family should be at least 12 years old and not afraid of dogs. His shoulder height is 57cm.

About Cosmo

What life with Cosmo looks like

Cosmo is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cosmo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cosmo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cosmo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cosmo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cosmo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cosmo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cosmo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
