Deltyva

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

Age: Born around September 2023 (approximate estimated date) Breed: Mixed Size: Medium (weighs 17.4kg in February 2026) Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Arrival at Remember Me Land: January 2024, in foster care with Michelle in Belgium since May 2024 Agreements: Ok with cats. Temperament: Sociable February 1, 2026: Deltyva had her booster vaccines last week. She weighs 17.4kg. The vet checked her umbilical hernia, no change so it's still okay. She's a great dog when she knows her surroundings, the problem is when she doesn't, she's protective. When someone enters her space, she barks, growls, and Madame must hold her back or she might bite. Therefore, potential adopters should be willing to come see her multiple times. She has done this with friends and now it's going well, they can even come to take care of her when Madame is not there. As she is not working currently, she is very available for potential adopters. She is ok with dogs and ok with cats. Children to avoid. And ideally another dog in the family. September 16, 2024: She is adorable, super cuddly, and sociable; having a companion will be crucial for her. June 24, 2024: Deltyva is ready to join her family. She is cuddly when she knows them, very curious and greedy. Deltyva will need a family with a yard because she really needs to burn off energy. Having another dog would be a real plus because she needs a companion. She will also need a family that is quite present. She is clean and loves walks. According to her FA (as of mid-May 2024): Deltyva is an adorable dog who has adapted relatively quickly to her new environment. She gets along very well with my two dogs, but be cautious during meal times where she may show her teeth if another dog approaches her bowl. She is very affectionate. She loves cuddles, kisses, and being brushed. She does not tolerate being alone for too long, she really needs a presence. The first mischievous behaviors are happening, but with a bit of training, they should pass. Potty training is ongoing, and leash walks are great.

About Deltyva

What life with Deltyva looks like

Deltyva is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Remember Me France in France.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Deltyva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Deltyva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Remember Me France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Deltyva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Deltyva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Remember Me France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Deltyva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Deltyva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Remember Me France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Deltyva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
