Diede is een knappe cyperse kater van ongeveer 6 jaar oud. Hij is bij ons terechtgekomen nadat er afstand van hem is gedaan. Samen met andere katten leefde hij in een woning waar de omstandigheden uiteindelijk niet langer passend waren. Nu is Diede toe aan een nieuw hoofdstuk: een rustig en liefdevol thuis waar hij alle tijd krijgt om zichzelf te zijn. Diede is een gevoelige jongen die nieuwe situaties behoorlijk spannend vindt. Bij onbekende mensen of veranderingen in zijn omgeving kiest hij er liever voor om eerst van een veilige afstand toe te kijken Gelukkig zien we ook bij Diede langzaam maar zeker mooie vooruitgang. Hoewel hij graag vanuit zijn veilige plekje observeert, weet een lekker hapje hem vaak toch over de streep te trekken. Voor wat lekkers komt hij tegenwoordig steeds vaker onder de kast vandaan en durft hij voorzichtig dichterbij te komen. Dat zijn misschien kleine stapjes, maar voor Diede betekenen ze ontzettend veel. Achter zijn verlegen karakter schuilt een onzekere kater die vooral behoefte heeft aan rust, voorspelbaarheid en geduld. Hij heeft geen eigenaar nodig die direct veel van hem verwacht, maar iemand die begrijpt dat vertrouwen tijd kost.
