Dylan

Belgian Malinois · Male · Young · 1 year

Dylan ID-Nr: 1052677 Breed: Malinois Age: 11/2025 Gender: male shoulder height: still growing neutered/Sterilized: No Location: Marbella (Spain) Inquiry Form Dylan – young power package seeks experienced people Dylan (born 10/11/2025, still growing) was given up by his former owners to our Spanish partner shelter Triple A in Marbella at the age of only 6 months. He arrived extremely stressed and completely overwhelmed. Deep down, he is an absolutely lovable boy, but it is clear that he lacked basic socialization, training, and contact with other dogs in his previous home. He is currently struggling a lot with these missing boundaries, but our professional volunteer has already taken him under her wing, and he is already making small but significant progress. Near other dogs, Dylan often still appears completely confused. He doesn’t quite know how to properly communicate, and at first, he didn’t understand the corrections from his fellow animals. Currently, he barks a lot to release his inner frustration. Dylan is a truly sensitive soul that now desperately needs time, patience, and a lot of understanding. He can’t handle any pressure at the moment. If he is pushed too hard, he tends to snap at the person. This is not uncommon for dogs of this type in overstimulation situations, but he is learning that this behavior is not desired. Sometimes he also tries to bite the leash, but he now reacts much better to a calm command. When working with him and giving him the necessary time, his wonderful true nature comes to the fore. If you treat him with patience, fairness, and love, and meet him with a calm energy, he relaxes, allows being petted, and even stretches his belly for cuddles. Dylan needs an engaged home that guides him step by step and gives him the time to learn the world in a safe and understanding way. We know that he will likely receive many inquiries due to his great looks, but he needs a very special and quiet home where all his needs are met. For Dylan, we are looking for people with absolute breed experience (!), who are ready to continue training and socializing him, preferably with the support of a professional trainer. We prefer a home without children, as all family members must be aware of the specifics of this breed and Dylan’s special needs. He needs clear orientation and full attention so that he can grow into a confident dog. Dylan is vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. For travel arrangements, he has been tested for Mediterranean diseases, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Dylan will only be rehomed with a spay/neuter requirement. Vaccinations: Yes Mediterranean check: Yes Microchip: Yes Illnesses: None known Disability: No Companion dog: No including transport Contact: Larissa Spörl Tel: Email:.

Dylan ID-Nr: 1052677 Rasse: Malinois Alter: 11/2025 Geschlecht: männlich Schulterhöhe: wächst noch Kastriert/Sterilisiert: Nein Aufenthalt / Ort: Marbella (Spanien) Anfrageformular Dylan – junges Powerpaket sucht erfahrene Menschen Dylan (geb. About Dylan

What life with Dylan looks like

Dylan is a young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dylan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dylan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dylan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dylan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dylan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dylan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dylan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
