Evira

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Evira and Evira were born around February 2014 (an approximate date) and are a beige crossbreed. They are of medium to large size. Spayed: yes Vaccinated: yes Microchipped: yes Arrival at Remember Me Land: February 2019 – In foster care with Joan (42nd department) since December 21, 2025. Harmonies: okay with dogs, okay with cats. Character: March 1, 2026: This week we took advantage of the nice weather to start walks. And it went super well. She was so zen. Since the second walk, she even lets me put the leash on without trying to escape, I no longer have to corner her in a corner. I didn’t expect it to go so well. And then, she now accepts the pressure of the lead. Although I don’t use it very often because she comes when I call her. Not at my feet, but she understands that 'Come Vivi' means come back to me, at least a little. She sniffs at the ground or sniffs the wind, she enjoys it, it’s good to see her like that. And then, in terms of qualities, she is totally okay with cats. In short, a great little dog. January 27, 2026: Evira is evolving very well, at her own pace but in the right direction. Now, she goes in and out of the garden alone. She is very clean. Last Saturday, I was delayed and didn’t get home until 8 hours later. I was very surprised that she held it so long. She continues to gain weight but still has an ogre’s appetite. Sleeping warm has caused her to molt, her undercoat is falling out and a nice smooth coat is growing underneath. The distances are getting shorter and I can barely touch her with the tips of my fingers. She cheers me up when I come home, whether with the others who also cheer me up, or when she is alone. However, she cries when the others go for walks without her. As soon as I feel better, we’ll test the walks. January 2, 2026: To finish the year well, Evi arrived the night before last, the 31st, after a visit to Steven at Canitopie. The manipulations are not very easy, but we manage to put her on a leash and lead her into the garden. In fact, the day after her arrival, as there was no pee/poop in the house, at noon we decided to put her on a leash to go into the garden and she did her business immediately. And since then, she has always been super clean. With the others, everything goes very well, she is very curious when she sees the others being cheered up. And she spends her time watching what’s happening, she even gets up to come see when we are in an angle where she can’t see. It really looks like curiosity and not fear (although she doesn’t let herself be touched). She eats at 40cm from me without a problem but does not want physical contact for now. She is very calm even though she is not 12 years old. She is thin but has already gained weight and now that she has good dry kibble, her digestion has clearly improved. November 25, 2025: Evira is anemic and no longer eats. She has a serious heart murmur, 5 out of 6 in intensity, she weighs only 13 kg. Vet message: Evira is emaciated, in hypothermia, her teeth are covered in tartar and she had an embedded corn. She is anemic and hypoalbuminemic, and her low blood urea level indicates a state of malnutrition. Strangely, she has the same heart murmur as Mitsubishi. A ProBNP test is also necessary. March 2020: shy February 2019: fearful History:

About Evira

What life with Evira looks like

Evira is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Remember Me France in France.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Evira, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Evira?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Remember Me France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Evira on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Evira if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Remember Me France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Evira already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Evira isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Remember Me France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Evira and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
