Larry is a German Shepherd male dog born in March 2024, who was given up due to a lack of time. He lived in an urban area in an apartment with his previous owners and also had contact with the family's children. Larry lived with his family from puppyhood, but unfortunately, they did not expect him to grow so large and take up so much time. It currently seems as though he has not been exposed to many new things. The handsome male dog is currently severely overweight (at least 20 kg too much) and is therefore still somewhat limited in his mobility. He is a bit unsure when first meeting strangers but warms up quickly and has no fear of touch. Basic training, leash manners, and everything else he needs for life with people are now being worked on feverishly. Future owners should be aware that they will also have to work with him quite a bit. Larry can be left alone for a reasonable amount of time and, according to his previous owners, also travels well by car. We are looking for patient, dog-experienced people who can provide him with a dog-friendly, relaxed life. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Larry ist ein im März 2024 geborener, Deutscher Schäfer-Rüde, der wegen Zeitmangel abgegeben wurde. Er lebte bei seinen Vorbesitzern in städtischem Gebiet in einer Wohnung und hatte auch Kontakt zu den Kindern der Familie. Larry lebte von Junghund an bei seiner Familie, die leider nicht damit gerechnet hat, dass er so groß wird und so viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen wird. Aktuell macht es den Anschein, als hätte er nicht allzu viel kennenlernen dürfen. Der bildhübsche Rüde ist momentan stark übergewichtig (mindestens 20 kg zu viel) und ist deswegen noch in seiner Mobilität eingeschränkt. Er ist beim ersten Kontakt mit fremden Menschen ein bisschen unsicher, wird aber recht schnell „warm“ und hat grundsätzlich keine Berührungsängste. Grunderziehung, Leinenführigkeit und alles andere, was er für das Leben mit den Menschen so brauchen kann, wird jetzt fieberhaft nachgeholt. Zukünftige Besitzer sollten sich aber im Klaren sein, dass auch sie noch einiges mit ihm erarbeiten werden müssen. Larry kann eine angemessene Zeit alleine bleiben und fährt, laut den Vorbesitzern, auch problemlos mit dem Auto mit. Wir suchen für ihn geduldige, hundeerfahrene Menschen, die ihm ein hundegerechtes, entspanntes Leben ermöglichen können.
