Lenox

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Lenox - cheerful puppy wants to discover the world. Lenox and his two sisters were rescued from the street by our Bulgarian animal protection colleagues and brought to safety. Now the little guy is eagerly waiting to not have to grow up in the animal shelter. From June he will be ready for a new life. Lenox is a lovely, open puppy boy. He is very people-oriented, constantly seeks closeness and enjoys every cuddle to the fullest. He also shows himself to be social and playful with other dogs - extended play sessions are definitely among his favorite activities. For Lenox we wish a home with people who give him the time to settle in calmly. Everything is new for him, and he still has to learn what belongs to basic dog training: housebreaking, being alone, car rides and dealing with everyday noises. With loving consistency, structure and positive reinforcement, however, he will quickly understand what is expected of him. It is possible that a herding dog trait is in his genes, so corresponding character traits should be considered. A securely fenced garden would also be a wonderful bonus for the little explorer. A puppy brings a lot of joy - but also work, patience and responsibility. Setbacks are part of it and should be accompanied with calmness and a touch of humor. Who wants to show this little treasure the world and go through life together with him? Lenox is already waiting full of hope for his people. Adopting an animal shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs come with a backpack of past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to adjust to their new life. If you have a serious interest in adopting Lenox, please contact the responsible adoption officer of SALVA Dog Help. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster home.

About Lenox

What life with Lenox looks like

Lenox is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lenox, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lenox?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lenox on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lenox if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lenox already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lenox isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lenox and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
