Lettie & Lisett

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 10 months

Lettie & Lisett – two sweet mini-sisters to fall in love with - born around July 2025, staying small, vaccinated, microchipped, EU pet passport. - These two enchanting mini-sisters had a stroke of luck in misfortune, as they were discarded in a cardboard box in dense bush in Romania. On a rainy day… A woman with a heart discovered the originally four puppy children, but unfortunately, she considered what to do for too long. When she found the puppies unable to fend for themselves after more rainy days, she found only Lettie and Lisett still alive. Their two siblings did not survive the wet and cold. Today, the two very cute and loving mini-sisters live on the farm of one of our rescuers and have long forgotten their bad start in life. Lettie and Lisett, who resemble each other like two peas in a pod, are super cheerful and lively puppy children: They playfully run around the farm with the other dogs and cats, play with their foster mom and her son, fight with each other, and are always together. The two are heart and soul, which is why we do not want to part them. Distinguishing Lettie and Lisett from each other is a real challenge – and we have the secret figured out only partially… One of them often raises her left ear and appears slightly larger than her sister. We have named her Lettie. Of course, the two cuties still need to learn the dog multiplication table, so their new family should attend dog training classes with them. Lettie and Lisett will surely have a lot of fun, as they are interested in all dog and human interactions. For the dream puppy children Lettie and Lisett, we are searching for a dream home where they can stay together forever and amuse their people with their cute and loving nature. A foster home would also be welcome. Before travel arrangements, a test for Babesiosis, Borreliosis, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Dirofilariosis, and leishmaniasis will be conducted. Lettie & Lisett are still in Romania.

About Lettie & Lisett

What life with Lettie & Lisett looks like

Lettie & Lisett is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lettie & Lisett, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lettie & Lisett?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lettie & Lisett on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lettie & Lisett if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lettie & Lisett already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lettie & Lisett isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lettie & Lisett and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
