Some stories remind us how the life of an animal can be a true saga of resistance. The Lírio carries one of these stories in its body and heart. In April 2025, the Lírio arrived at the shelter together with its brother, Lotus. Both had been captured in a street colony to be spayed, but they were very weak and sick. We could not return them to the street. During the recovery process, tests revealed that they were positive for FIV and also for PIF. They underwent 80 days of intensive treatment for PIF. Those were days of hope, fear, and great dedication. Against all odds, both managed to survive. For almost a year they stayed together, always side by side, as they had lived their whole lives. But recently, Lotus passed away... and left the Lírio alone. Now we want to give the Lírio the opportunity to start a new chapter. A quiet home, a patient family, and a love capable of filling the void that remains. Há histórias que lembram como a vida de um animal pode ser uma verdadeira saga de resistência. O Lírio carrega uma dessas histórias no corpo e no coração. Em abril de 2025, o Lírio chegou ao abrigo juntamente com o seu irmão, Lotus. Ambos tinham sido capturados numa colónia de rua para serem esterilizados, mas estavam muito debilitados e doentes. Não conseguimos devolvê-los à rua. Durante o processo de recuperação, os testes revelaram que eram positivos para FIV e também para PIF. Seguiram-se 80 dias de tratamento intenso contra o PIF. Foram dias de esperança, de medo e de muita dedicação. Contra todas as probabilidades, os dois conseguiram sobreviver. Durante quase um ano continuaram juntos, sempre lado a lado, como tinham vivido toda a vida. Mas recentemente o Lotus partiu… e deixou o Lírio sozinho.
