Mr. Cole

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Mr. Cole is looking for a place to settle down. Mr. Cole currently lives with dedicated animal welfare friends in Spain. His brothers already had the good fortune to travel to Germany – but Mr. Cole is still waiting for his own home. We suspect that a Mastín and a Galgo are in Mr. Cole's genes, as Mr. Cole has grown very tall and strikingly graceful. Unfortunately, Mr. Cole is also losing his Spanish foster home and is urgently searching for a loving home so that the move to the animal shelter can be avoided. Mr. Cole is a true character. He knows exactly what he wants, likes to take his own path, and explores the world in his own unique way. As the little "boss" of the trio, he often took the lead in play, frolic, and exploration – of course, in a puppy-like manner with a charming wink. Like a curious puppy should, everything is investigated and often gnawed on. Shoes, blankets, or sticks are not safe from his little teeth. However, there is no malice behind it, just a playful little explorer with many ideas in his head. Despite his confident nature, Mr. Cole is a friendly, people-oriented, and very affectionate little guy. He enjoys closeness and cuddles just as much as lively play sessions. Of course, Mr. Cole also needs to learn the dog ABCs: getting house-trained, walking on a leash, understanding rules, and building trust. For this, he is looking for patient, humorous people who enjoy accompanying a clever and loving character on his journey through life. If you are looking for a happy, confident, and at the same time cuddly mixed-breed puppy, you will find in Mr. Cole a loyal companion with personality – ready to explore the world together. Please contact his foster parent if you want to give Mr. Cole a chance and help avoid the move to the animal shelter. A foster home would also be very helpful for Mr. Cole at first. About Mr. Cole

What life with Mr. Cole looks like

Mr. Cole is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mr. Cole, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mr. Cole?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mr. Cole on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mr. Cole if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mr. Cole already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mr. Cole isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mr. Cole and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
