Nati

Female · Young · 1 year

Nati - a young lively Bodeguero lady is looking for her home. Nati is not only visually a dream Bodeguero, but also character-wise she has many wonderful traits of the breed. She is curious, adventurous and well-oriented towards people. As Nati originally comes from Spain and from the street and is also seems to be very young, she has not yet really understood life in the house. Loud noises still unsettle her; she then always has to check what's going on and also needs to learn how to calm down. On her foster home, she quickly learned with clear rules and structures that stress does not have to be expressed through movement. After just a few days, it was already possible for her to lie down by herself more and more often. Nati is super curious and never refuses a play offer from the other dogs at the foster home. Outside, Nati walks quite well on a leash with support, and she likes to sniff out interesting spots thoroughly. She already responds well to her name. Nati is a small power package typical for her breed and age, and she would certainly enjoy activities like hiking or cycling and maybe even dog sports like tracking. Being a terrier, she has a strong voice and tends to bark at passing pedestrians. She can be well limited here, but you have to stick with it. She also fixates other dogs while passing by, but can be well guided here as well. Overall, Nati is a really great representative of her breed, who for a young dog obviously still needs some guidance and training. She is not yet a finished dog. We are looking for an active home with people who have dog experience and want to continue promoting and supporting Nati. The little dog is certainly not a couch potato; she needs physical and mental activity in larger amounts. Other dogs or calm and experienced cats may live in the new home. A garden for playing and running around would be beneficial for the little power dog. Here is Nati's video.

About Nati

What life with Nati looks like

Nati is a young adult dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nati, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nati?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nati on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nati if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nati already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nati isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nati and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
