He likely comes from an unplanned litter of an unneutered dog. Initially, the puppies may have been welcome, but as they grew larger, they were apparently abandoned. Petrie is a gentle, black German Shepherd-Mix with a soft temperament. At the animal shelter, he lives alongside several Podencos, including an adult male dog who takes the lead within the group. Petrie shows himself to be very social and friendly with other dogs. He has also behaved excellently during group walks involving many dogs, people, and children—for example, along Marbella’s promenade. Petrie is very open and cuddly toward people. Occasionally, he still jumps up excitedly, but this is typical for young dogs in the animal shelter and will quickly disappear with a bit of training.
