Pixel

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Young · 1 year

💕🐾 Meet Pixel – the master of chaos 🐾 💕 Part-time explorer, full-time mischief-maker. If it moves, he’s chasing it. If it doesn’t… well, give him five minutes. Whether it’s a feather, your shoelaces, or an unsuspecting dust bunny - nothing escapes Pixel’s curious little paws. But don’t be fooled by the chaos - offer food or cuddles, and he’ll switch to purring-mode faster than you can say “tuna treats.” Pixel came in with his mum and brothers Onyx and Jax. Since his siblings have been rehomed, we have discovered it is likely that Pixel is deaf, but this does not impact him day to day. As a result of this Pixel will only be available for an indoor only furever home. He is looking for a home full of love, laughter, and maybe a few toy mice to maul. We guarantee he will bring joy, cuddles, and a bit of delightful mayhem into your life. Pixel may be a little mischief maker but he’s full of love and fun and will bring a smile to your face all day every day. If you think Pixel can light up your home Then apply to adopt this beautiful little boy ✨

About Pixel

What life with Pixel looks like

Pixel is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at StraySafe Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pixel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pixel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. StraySafe Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pixel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pixel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — StraySafe Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pixel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pixel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with StraySafe Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pixel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
