Pumba – a lovely sweet boy! Ein lieber süßer Hund – das ist das große Kompliment, welches man Pumba in unserem spanischen Partnertierheim macht. Besser geht es ja wohl nicht mehr. Pumba has lived with a family and knows how to get along at home with children. He is also very compatible with other dogs. He was given up together with his smaller canine friend. When encountering strangers, he initially ducks away and shows a bit of reserve, as the shelter situation is not to his liking. The video shows him on the first day and, understandably, he is still a bit unsettled. However, he quickly warms up when he realizes that people have good intentions towards him. We would be delighted if this exceptionally charming dog could soon exchange the animal shelter for a real home. Behind bars and on concrete floors, he does not enjoy it at all; he wants to be back with people, where he can snuggle in a soft dog bed. Perhaps Pumba still has a little catch-up to do in terms of dog manners. Dog training classes are not common in Spain. His wonderful character will surely help him learn everything he still needs to know quickly and well. His Lab mix makes him particularly trainable with treats. His breed mix is confirmed, and the parents are known. They have a foster home for Pumba available or would like to give him a forever home? Then please contact his coordinator.

Pumba hat bei einer Familie gelebt und kennt von dort das häusliche Zusammenleben mit Kindern. Mit anderen Hunden ist er ebenfalls bestens verträglich. Er wurde zusammen mit seinem kleineren Hundefreund abgegeben. Bei fremden Menschen duckt er sich vorsichtshalber erst einmal weg und zeigt ein wenig Zurückhaltung, zumal ihm die Tierheimsituation nicht geheuer ist. Das Video zeigt ihn am ersten Tag und verständlicherweise noch verunsichert. Schnell taut er dann aber auf, wenn er merkt, dass man es gut mit ihm meint. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn dieser überaus charmante Hund das Tierheim schnell wieder gegen ein richtiges Zuhause eintauschen könnte. Hinter Gittern und auf Betonboden gefällt es ihm gar nicht, er möchte zurück zu Menschen und dort in einem weichen Körbchen kuscheln. Vielleicht hat Pumba noch ein wenig Nachholbedarf in Sachen Hundeeinmaleins. Der Besuch einer Hundeschule ist in Spanien unüblich. Sein toller Grundcharakter wird sicher dazu führen, dass er alles, was er noch nicht kann, schnell und gut lernen wird. Seine Labbi-Gene machen ihn auch sicherlich in der Erziehung bestechlich durch Leckerlis. Sein Rassemix ist verbürgt, die Elterntiere sind bekannt.
