Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

Age: Born around February 2024 (approximate estimated date) Breed: Mixed Breed Size: Medium at adult age (estimated) (13.4 kg – July 31, 2024) Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Arrival at Remember Me Land: August 2024 – In foster care with Jay in the 26th since August 2024 Affection: Okay with dogs Temperament: September 6, 2025: Quebec is doing well. Behavior-wise, it's going better and better, but he still needs a safety distance. Despite giving him treats by hand every day, I still can't touch him. He really doesn't like being touched, even a light touch, he could bite without hesitation if his limits are not respected. With strangers, it's always very complicated, he barks constantly. With my friends he's known for a year, it takes about 30 minutes for him to calm down, but they can't get up from their chairs or it starts again. With dogs, there are no issues, he regularly meets new canine friends and even if he's quite shy at first, he quickly gains confidence and loves playing. according to his FA: Quebec adapts smoothly, the presence of other dogs helps a lot. He is quite fearful of humans for now. He can be close to us, but we can't touch him. fearful upon arrival (August 2024) History:

About Quebec

What life with Quebec looks like

Quebec is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Remember Me France in France.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Quebec, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Quebec?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Remember Me France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Quebec on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Quebec if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Remember Me France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Quebec already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Quebec isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Remember Me France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Quebec and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
