Ronda

Female

A medium-sized puppy was found together with a small-sized puppy roaming freely. The agricultural data center registry showed that the puppy's owner had passed away. Radi and caretakers, who, hopefully, are somewhere, have not heard from either of the puppies… Ronda is a joyful, kind-hearted, and active puppy. She is designated as a medium-sized breed – standing due to her ears, although her body is slightly “shorter,” and she has half-long, fluffy fur. Ronda loves endless walks and playing. She is safe communicating with children and friendly towards other dogs. More suitable for a private home, but a secure enclosure must definitely be provided. We have no information on how long the puppies were allowed to roam freely, and if this happened regularly, there might initially be a tendency to roam. However, this is only our assumption and a cautionary warning, as the shelter’s teenage girl in the fenced-off play area does not run away or seek freedom. Ronda can also live indoors, as she is very clean and tidy. The sun is a friend and companion!

LV·Show original

About Ronda

What life with Ronda looks like

Ronda is a adult dog waiting at Labās Mājas in Riga.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇱🇻Adopting from Latvia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ronda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ronda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Labās Mājas handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ronda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ronda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Labās Mājas will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ronda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ronda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Labās Mājas early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ronda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (LV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
