Snoopy

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

There are dogs that overflow with affection, jumping into your arms and covering you in licks. And then there's Snoopy. And Snoopy is a different kind of affair (a better kind, for those who know how to appreciate it). This little senior has a unique way of loving. He'll be there all the time, everywhere, faithful like a shadow. In the kitchen while you cook, in the hallway while you make a phone call, in the garden while you garden. Always there, never far, just at the right distance. Add to that a voracious passion for the ball, a keen sense of communication (he's very, very vocal), and a personality like no other, and you get a life companion that is absolutely unique. The rules of the game are simple, and they are worth knowing: no petting, no cuddles, no imposed physical contact. Snoopy doesn't need that to create a bond. He has his own codes, and they are effective. Respect his space, and he will offer you a constant and sincere presence, like no other. An important note: Snoopy is epileptic. His future adopter must be informed and at ease with this reality of daily life. He came to us after the death of his adopter, a home he had made happy in his own way. He just wants to do it again. To adopt Snoopy: A sense of humor recommended. The ability to love differently, mandatory. Come meet him! Share this page on Facebook or X-Twitter Adopt a dog:

FR·Show original

About Snoopy

What life with Snoopy looks like

Snoopy is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fondation Brigitte Bardot in Paris.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoopy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoopy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fondation Brigitte Bardot handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoopy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoopy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fondation Brigitte Bardot will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snoopy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoopy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fondation Brigitte Bardot early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoopy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
