Sofie had been wandering around on a business park for a while and when she had kittens, reporters found out and she was brought to our foster family with her 4 kittens. She found it very exciting and was very angry, scared, and fiercely protective of her kittens. After a few weeks, she began to realize that the scary human not only had yummy treats but was also a nice and great babysitter for her little ones. For a long time, she would hide behind the couch when her foster mother came in. But now that her kittens are getting bigger and ready to fly the nest, Sofie is seen more often. If you come in quietly, she will lie on the couch or the scratching post. She also finds it very interesting when the kittens play with the wand, and she watches from a distance. On the camera, we can see that Sofie plays very lovingly and enthusiastically with her little ones. Sofie winks and squints her eyes when you softly talk to her. Her foster mother is incredibly proud of the progress she has made. She is still not fully there, but hopefully, there will be more beautiful positive steps. But what would be wonderful is if, after taking care of her little ones, who she has done an amazing job with, she gets her own golden litter box. Whether she eventually goes out or not is now hard to say. First, she will need to be further socialized. Her estimated age is 2 or 3 years. She will be spayed soon, and then the vet can tell you more. After spaying, Sofie will still need to stay with her foster family for a little while before she can move on. Sofie liep al langer rond op een bedrijventerrein en toen ze daar kittens kreeg, hebben melders dit doorgegeven en is ze met haar 4 kittens naar ons pleeggezin gebracht. Ze vond het erg spannend en was boos, bang en verdedigde haar kittens fel. Na een paar weken begon ze te beseffen dat het enge mens niet alleen hele lekkere hapjes had maar ook een lieve en prima oppas voor haar kindjes was. Een hele tijd heeft ze in een schuilhokje achter de bank gezeten als haar pleegmoeder binnenkwam. Maar nu haar kittens groter worden en op het punt staan om uit te vliegen, laat Sofie zich steeds vaker zien. Als je rustig binnenkomt, blijft ze op de bank of op de krabpaal liggen. Ze vindt het ook reuze interessant als de kittens met de hengel spelen en bekijkt dit van een afstandje. Op de camera zien we dat Sofie heel graag en lief speelt met haar kindjes. Sofie knipoogt en knijpt volop met haar oogjes als je zachtjes tegen haar praat. Haar pleegmoeder is ontzettend trots op de stapjes die ze heeft gemaakt. Ze is er echt nog niet en hopelijk worden er nog mooie positieve stapjes gemaakt. Maar wat zou het fijn zijn als ze na het zorgen voor haar kleintjes, wat ze fantastisch heeft gedaan, een eigen gouden mandje krijgt. Of ze uiteindelijk naar buiten wil, is nu moeilijk te zeggen. Eerst zal ze verder gesocialiseerd moeten worden. Haar geschatte leeftijd is 2 of 3 jaar. Ze wordt binnenkort gesteriliseerd en dan zal de dierenarts daar meer over kunnen vertellen. Na sterilisatie moet Sofie nog eventjes bij haar pleeggezin blijven en mag dan verhuizen.
