Spinka

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

SPINKA - looking for a quiet, loving home. Spinka is a tiny, about 10-kilogram female dog who has been through more than one can imagine. She was rescued urgently - with a huge hernia reaching to the ground. Today she is after the operation - physically recovering, but emotionally still needs warmth and patience. This female dog is very sensitive, shy, but at the same time thirsty for human contact. Sometimes she is afraid - of sudden movements, of quickly passing by. Sometimes she whines from anxiety. But she follows a person step by step, looking like a picture. Just give her space, gentleness and time, and she will show how much she wants to be loved. Spinka gets along with other dogs and cats. We are looking for a quiet home for her - preferably with a garden, where she will feel safe and comfortable (despite the leash for Spinka is currently terrifying). She can live with other pets, but most importantly, she needs to find herself in a patient, empathetic and warm person. Spinka is about 8-9 years old. She is already spayed, ready for adoption. Warsaw, Minsk Mazowiecki, mazowieckie (possible adoption throughout Poland and abroad - we help with transport) A adoption agreement applies. Give Spinka a home and show her that life can be good.

SPINKA – szuka cichego, kochającego domu. Spinka to drobniutka, około 10-kilogramowa sunia, która przeszła więcej, niż można sobie wyobrazić. Została odebrana interwencyjnie – z ogromną przepukliną sięgającą do ziemi.

About Spinka

What life with Spinka looks like

Spinka is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Spinka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Spinka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Spinka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Spinka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Spinka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Spinka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Spinka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
