Tia

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Sweet natured and a gentle soul, tiny tot Tia is a true treasure and a bundle of fuss. She would love to find a female owner in an adult home and happy socialising with new dogs outside. Leicester Animal Aid is hoping to find her the perfect home she deserves soon. Tia is a 7 year old Poodle Cross and is is small and dainty, though she can be speedy when excited. She is easy to handle and absolutely scrumptious. She's getting there with her house-training. Tia is very content with a relaxed routine of cuddles, toys, food, gentle walks and a garden where she can sprint around in. Tia is sometimes worried by quick movements but soon comes round with a wiggly bum for cuddle time and cooked chicken … we wouldn’t say she is spoilt at all. Tia can feel overwhelmed within new environments. She can find the presence of men and some situations scary and will be looking for a female owner to keep her safe and sound. Tia is a speedy little girl when she gets excited but does need more guidance walking on a lead and can find busy areas too much when walking. She is happy meeting new dogs on walks but is content as the only animal in her new home. Tia has had a dental and she is now all okay with 13 teeth removed and very happy. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ If you can't resist adorable tiny tot Tia and would like to take her home, please contact Leicester Animal Aid as follows: or fill in an Interested Parties Form here. Please mention you saw Tia on the Oldies Club website.

About Tia

What life with Tia looks like

Tia is a very small adult mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
