Zelda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Zelda, born 2025 - Cat My Story The shy and extremely fearful Zelda is hardly ever seen in the room. Always hiding among other timid cats. Getting a nice picture of her is almost impossible... Zelda had no prior contact with people before coming to us. Therefore, she is very skeptical and cautious towards people and must learn that people do not want to harm her. Who wants to take on the challenge and has enough time and patience? It is important: do not provoke Zelda and do not pressure her to do anything, let everything happen on its own. Zelda, geboren 2025 - Katze Meine Geschichte Die schüchterne und überaus ängstliche Zelda sieht man so gut wie nie im Raum. Stets versteckt in Gesellschaft anderer scheuer Katzen. Fakten Kastriert Gechipt Geimpft Du hast Interesse an Zelda? About Zelda

What life with Zelda looks like

Zelda is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Kleinheubach in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zelda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zelda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Kleinheubach handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zelda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zelda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Kleinheubach will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zelda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zelda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Kleinheubach early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zelda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
