01-06-26 Polly has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home. She is a sweet girl, but understandably finds herself feeling worried and overwhelmed by all the recent changes in her life. At the moment, Polly prefers to keep her distance and will often choose to watch what is going on from afar rather than get involved. If approached too quickly she is likely to run away, as she is still learning that people can be kind. Polly is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can feel safe and secure while she settles in. She will need patient and understanding adopters who are happy to let her progress at her own pace and experience of ex-breeding dogs would be beneficial. Polly loves her kennel friends and relies on other dogs for comfort. She enjoys interacting with them and has a lovely, funny side that emerges when she is playing with them. She can be quite talkative during playtime and when spending time with her doggy companions, which is a joy to see. Because she relies on other dogs for reassurance, she will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and help show her the way. Polly has never lived in a home before and will need kind and patient adopters as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, first practicing in a secure garden until she builds confidence. Polly is a lovely girl with a gentle nature and a charming personality waiting to emerge. With a calm home, a canine friend and lots of love, patience and reassurance, we are sure she will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into a wonderful companion. Polly has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
