ACTUALIZACIÓN: Reyna ahora está en una maravillosa casa de acogida en Cambridgeshire. Comparte su casa de acogida con varios perros residentes y aunque creemos que ha vivido una vida protegida sin mucha interacción, con su guía, ha aprendido realmente a interactuar y disfrutar de la compañía de otros perros. Aunque muy nerviosa cuando llegó, ha salido lentamente de su caparazón con la guía de su familia de acogida y ha ido incluso a algunas pequeñas aventuras a un café. Aún puede ser tímida con las personas nuevas pero es cariñosa con todos, especialmente con su mamá de acogida, quien es un gran favorito ya que hace todas las caminatas! Su personalidad está saliendo a medida que gana confianza y puede ser un mono cariñoso y travieso! Es un verdadero placer verla crecer y aprender que el mundo puede ser un lugar divertido y seguro. Viaja bien en el coche, ansiosa por subir para una caminata! También ha aprendido muy bien el entrenamiento para hacer sus necesidades. La mamá de acogida la llama el perro perfecto. Se lleva bien con todos los perros residentes pero el otro collie residente es un gran favorito! Está buscando un hogar con una familia amable y paciente que puedan continuar con todo el excelente trabajo de su casa de acogida. Reyna es un border collie. Su pasaporte en español dice que tiene casi 8 años pero el veterinario piensa que podría tener menos. Reyna fue entregada al refugio junto con sus tres cachorros (Ares, Sena y Zeus) por una familia que la mantuvo fuera toda su vida. Creemos que ha estado atada la mayor parte de ese tiempo y no ha tenido la oportunidad de interactuar mucho con humanos ni con otros perros. Reyna llegó al refugio muy asustada con muchos miedos e inseguridades. Está mejorando con el tiempo y permite que le den atención y la acaricien pero necesitará un hogar paciente y cuidadoso que le permita que su confianza crezca a su propio ritmo ya que es muy temerosa de las cosas nuevas. Una vez que se familiariza con la gente, es muy dulce y cariñosa.

UPDATE: Reyna is now in a wonderful foster home in Cambridgeshire. She shares her foster home with several resident dogs and although we think she’s lived a sheltered life without much interaction, with their guidance, she’s really learned how to interact and enjoy the company of other dogs. Although very nervous when she first arrived, she has slowly but surely come out of her shell with the guidance of her foster family and has even been for some little adventures to a cafe! She can still be shy of new people but she’s affectionate with everyone, especially her foster mum who’s a firm favourite since she does all the walks! Her character is coming out as she gains confidence and she can be a lovable cheeky monkey! She’s a real joy to watch as she grows and learns that the world can be a fun and safe place to be. She travels well in the car, eager to jump in for a walk! She’s also picked up house training very well too. Her foster mum calls her the perfect dog. She gets on well with all the resident dogs but the other resident collie is a firm favourite! She is looking for a home with a kind and patient family who can carry on all the amazing work of her foster home Reyna is a border collie. Her Spanish passport says she’s almost 8 years old but the vet thinks she might be younger. Reyna was given to the shelter along with her three puppies (Ares, Sena and Zeus) by a family who kept her outside her whole life. We think she’s been chained up for most of that time and hasn’t had the chance to interact with humans much or other dogs. Reyna arrived at the shelter very scared with many fears and insecurities. She is improving in time and allows people to give her attention and be stroked but she will need a patient and caring home that will let her confidence grow in her own time as she is very scared of things that are new to her.
