Wolf Aquiles llegó al refugio ya antes, cuando había escapado del lugar donde estaba. En esa ocasión aún regresaba a la residencia, pero después de la segunda vez que escapó, con una cadena metálica grande y ajustada alrededor de su cuello, ya no regresó a su anterior residencia, ya que su situación de vida allí no es adecuada para un joven lobo, un animal social de manada. Cuando Aquiles llegó a nosotros, los primeros días fue tímido, inseguro y muy sensible a que las personas se acercaran hacia su cuello, pero no le tomó mucho tiempo darse cuenta de que está seguro y amado aquí. Pero el encierro, ya sea en una jaula o en una cadena, es un suplicio para un perro primitivo como Aquiles, aunque él intenta pacientemente hacer lo mejor posible para sobrevivir a las horas. Aquiles es un perro lobo checoslovaco de aspecto épico, que llama la atención cada vez que pasa. Hay una sensación primitiva en su presencia, un llamado que parece naturaleza, viento, tormenta, campos y montañas, como si hubieras capturado algo raro al verlo de pie en un campo, listo para un aullido de lobo. Una criatura magnífica que es tan bella por su carácter como por su apariencia. Aunque le gusta estar con voluntarios, Aquiles también puede ser independiente de las personas, tal como se espera de su raza, pero también te invita a unirte al juego, y mira hacia donde estás o si vienes cuando te desapareces por la esquina. La raza en sí misma puede ser tímida e insegura por naturaleza, especialmente en un entorno humano, y probablemente no será el tipo de perro que salude a extraños, probablemente permanecerá junto a su manada. Tiene un buen recall, solo que parece apreciar cuando lo llamas por una razón, y muestra su impaciencia con cosas aburridas, como posar en 10 formas diferentes para fotos. Cuando rascas el lugar correcto en su espalda, entonces muestra su felicidad con un pequeño salto divertido. Camina muy bien, tranquilo y sereno en la correa, lo cual es realmente una ventaja ya que es un perro joven grande. Durante su día fuera del refugio, viajó bien en el auto y disfrutó caminar en la naturaleza y en la playa tanto. Refrescarse en el río fue su actividad favorita, y es muy fácil ver que pertenece cerca de la naturaleza. Aunque Aquiles es amable, alegre, respetuoso y domesticado, necesitamos respetar la raza primitiva y sus necesidades. La socialización temprana y el entrenamiento son muy importantes con Aquiles. Con un buen entrenamiento, podrá destacar en muchos tipos de actividades, pero necesita ver un propósito para la tarea deseada: no creemos que sea el tipo de perro que disfrute entrenamientos simples de trucos o rompecabezas con snacks. Se aburre fácilmente con las tareas sencillas ofrecidas y es selectivo con recompensas basadas en comida, aunque los snacks naturales y la carne aumentan su interés más. Se recomiendan métodos de entrenamiento con refuerzo positivo. Muestra interés en otros perros y preferiblemente busca una casa con una perra de raza similar y energía. Podría potencialmente ser un único perro para una persona muy al aire libre, quien le proporcione oportunidades muy regulares de socialización positiva con otros perros, para que no viva en aislamiento de su especie. Aquiles, aunque es un muy buen chico y no un perro complicado en absoluto, no se rehúsa a dueños primerizos, ya que necesitará liderazgo fuerte de manada, estimulación física y mental. También busca una casa con espacio al aire libre en un área rural, y no quiere vivir en un apartamento cerrado o en un entorno urbano. Su hogar ideal no tiene niños pequeños ni ningún animal pequeño, ya que debemos tomar en cuenta instintos depredadores primitivos. Su altura a la cruz es aproximadamente 72 cm.

Wolf Aquiles came to the shelter already once before, when he had escaped the place he was kept. At that time he still went back to the residence, but after the second time he escaped, with a massive, tight metal chain around his neck, he no longer went back to his previous residence, as his living situation there is not suitable for a primitive young wolf dog, a social pack animal. When Aquiles arrived to us, the the first day or two he was shy, insecure and very sensitive about people reaching to the direction of his neck, but it did not take him long at all to realise that he is safe and loved here. But confinement, whether in a kennel or on a chain, is torture for a primal dog like Aquiles, even though he is patiently trying his best to live through the hours. Aquiles is an epic-looking Czechoslovakian wolfdog, catching all eyes he passes. There is a primal feeling to his presence, a calling that feels like nature, wind, storm, fields and mountains, like you've captured something rare when you see him standing in a field, ready for a wolf howl. A magnificent creature who is just as beautiful for his character as his is for his looks. Though he loves to be around volunteers, Aquiles can also be independant from humans, as expected from his breed, but he invites you also to join in the fun, and he looks where you are or if you're coming when you are disappearing around the corner. The breed itself can be shy and insecure by nature, especially in a human setting, and most likely will not be the kind of dog to go greeting strangers, he will probably be staying by his pack. He has great recall, just that he seems to appreciate when you call him for a reason, and shows his impatience with boring things, like posing in 10 different ways for photos. When you scratch the right spot on his back, then he shows his happiness with a little funny jump. He walks very well, calm and collected on the leash, which is really an asset as he is a big young dog. During his day out of the shelter, he travelled well in the car and enjoyed walking in the nature and on the beach so much. Cooling off in the river was his favourite thing, and it is so easy to see that he belongs near the nature. Though Aquiles is a kind, cheerful, respectful and domesticated, we do need to respect the primitive breed and their needs. Early socialization and training is very important with Aquiles. With good training, he will excel in many different types of activities, but he needs to see a purpose for the desired task - we do not think he is the kind of dog to enjoy simple trick training or puzzles with snacks. He gets bored easily of the simple tasks offered and is selective about food-based rewards, though natural snacks and meat raise his interest more. Positive reinforcement training methods are highly recommended. He shows interest in other dogs and preferably he is looking for a home with a female dog of similar breed and energy. He could potentially be an only dog of a very outdoorsy human, who will provide him with very regular positive dog socialisation opportunities, so he would not be living in species isolation. Aquiles, though he is a very good boy and not a complicated dog at all, he is not rehomed to first-time dog owners, as he will need strong pack leadership, physical & mental engagement. He is also looking for a home with outdoors space in a rural area, and is not looking to live in a confined apartment or in a city environment. His ideal home does not have small children or any small animals, as we have to take into account primal prey instincts. His shoulder height is approximately 72cm.
