02-06-26 Daisy est un Cocker Spaniel effrayé qui est entré dans notre garde provenant d'un éleveur à la recherche d'une nouvelle vie. Elle a du mal avec les interactions humaines pour l'instant et s'éloigne souvent lorsqu'on se rapproche trop. Daisy est inquiète lorsqu'on la manipule, donc elle aura besoin d'une gestion soigneuse et douce pendant qu'elle apprend que les gens peuvent être gentils. Ayant eu très peu d'expérience de la vie, beaucoup du monde est encore nouveau et étouffant pour elle, et elle aura besoin d'adoptants patients qui seront prêts à la laisser progresser à son propre rythme. Pour l'instant, Daisy se sent un peu moins courageuse et trouve du réconfort dans la compagnie de ses amis en cage. Nous pensons qu'il serait préférable qu'elle soit réhabitatée avec un autre chien mâle de grande taille pour le soutien et la compagnie. Avoir un ami canin confiant à côté d'elle l'aidera à se sentir plus en sécurité alors qu'elle s'installe dans la vie en famille. Comme Daisy n'a jamais vécu en famille auparavant, elle devra apprendre tout sur l'entraînement aux chiens, l'entraînement au collier et les bases de la vie en famille. Ses adoptants devront être compréhensifs et prêts à la guider à travers ces nouvelles expériences avec patience et rassurance. Daisy préfère profiter de ses repas seule, donc les repas sont gérés soigneusement ici et devront continuer à être gérés de la même manière dans sa nouvelle maison. Donner ses repas séparément permet d'éviter toute confusion sur qui appartient à qui et lui permet de se sentir plus détendue. Les friandises doivent également être données avec soin et gérées de la même manière afin d'assurer une expérience positive pour tout le monde. Daisy pourrait partager sa maison avec des adolescents calmes, plus âgés, sachant vivre avec les chiens, âgés de 16 ans et plus, capables d'apprécier et de comprendre qu'elle aura besoin d'une introduction douce et silencieuse à la maison ainsi qu'à son propre espace pour s'installer. Daisy est arrivée avec un entropion bilatéral et aura besoin d'une chirurgie pour corriger cela. Elle sera programmée chez nos vétérinaires avant l'adoption. Elle est aussi trop maigre, donc nous l'aiderons à atteindre et à maintenir un poids plus sain pendant son séjour chez nous. Cela devra être poursuivi dans sa nouvelle maison pour s'assurer qu'elle reste heureuse et en santé. Bien que Daisy trouve la vie assez effrayante pour l'instant, il y a une jolie fille sous ces anxiétés. Avec du temps, de la patience et le soutien d'un compagnon canin, nous sommes confiants qu'elle commencera à s'épanouir et à découvrir que le monde n'est pas si effrayant après tout. Elle possède un document de voyage. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

02-06-26 Daisy is a scared Cocker Spaniel who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start.She is finding human interaction very difficult at the moment and will often move away if we get too close. Daisy is worried by handling, so she will need careful and gentle management while she learns that people can be kind. Having had very little life experience, much of the world is still new and overwhelming to her, and she will need patient adopters who are willing to let her progress at her own pace. At the moment, Daisy is feeling a little less brave and is finding comfort in the company of her kennel friends. We feel it would be best for her to be re-homed with another large, male dog for support and companionship. Having a confident canine friend by her side will help her feel more secure as she settles into home life. As Daisy has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her adopters will need to be understanding and prepared to guide her through these new experiences with patience and reassurance. Daisy prefers to enjoy her meals on her own, so mealtimes are carefully managed here and should continue to be managed in the same way in her new home. Feeding her separately helps prevent any confusion over whose food belongs to whom and allows her to feel more relaxed. Treats should also be given thoughtfully and managed in the same way to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Daisy could share her home with quiet, older dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. Daisy has arrived with bilateral entropion and will need surgery to correct this. She will be booked in with our vets before adoption. She is also underweight, so we will be helping her reach and maintain a healthier weight during her stay with us. This will need to be continued in her new home to ensure she remains happy and healthy. Although Daisy is finding life quite frightening right now, there is a lovely girl underneath those worries. With time, patience, and the support of a canine companion, we are confident that she will begin to blossom and discover that the world is not such a scary place after all. She has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
