AGGIORNAMENTO: Sky è attualmente in adozione temporanea in Essex. Sky è una bella ragazza ma è ancora timida e ha bisogno di un ambiente gentile e paziente per aiutarla a migliorare la sua autostima e uscire dalla sua conchiglia. Attualmente vive con altri cani residenti e si intende bene con loro, anche se all'inizio può essere timida. Ha paura delle persone e trarrà beneficio da un cane amichevole in casa a lungo termine per aiutarla a capire come funziona. Sceglie i propri spazi sicuri in casa e sta lentamente imparando a fidarsi. Sky è un inglese setter di 5 anni, data di nascita 02.09.20. È stata data al rifugio dal suo cacciatore che non poteva più prendersene cura. La povera ragazza è arrivata molto timida con molte insicurezze, ha reagito male al trasferimento nel rifugio ma sta lentamente permettendo alle persone di accarezzarla. Con il tempo e un adottatore paziente, migliorerà e lascerà brillare la sua vera caratteristica meravigliosa. Purtroppo i rifugi sono difficili per cani come Sky. Anche se si migliorano nel tempo, è un processo lento rispetto a essere in una casa con una famiglia che può guidarla nella vita e mostrarle che le cose non devono essere così paurose.

UPDATE: Sky is currently in foster in Essex. Sky is a beautiful girl but is still nervous and needs a kind and patient home to help improve her confidence and bring her out of her shell. She is currently living with other resident dogs and getting on well with them, although she can be nervous at first. She is nervous of people and will benefit from a friendly resident dog in a home long term to help show her the ropes. She picks her own safe spaces in the home and is gradually learning to trust Sky is a 5 year old English Setter, DOB 02.09.20 Sky was given to the shelter by her hunter who could no longer look after her. The poor girl arrived very nervous with a lot of insecurities, she has taken the move to the shelter quite badly but is slowly allowing people to stroke her. In time and with a patient adopter, she will improve and let her true wonderful character shine though. Sadly, shelters are tough for dogs like Sky. Although they improve over time, it’s a slow process compared to being in a home with a family who can guide her through life and show her things don’t have to be so scary.
