Lucia è arrivata da noi in cattivo stato, affamata, con una gamba rotta da molto tempo e nell'ultimo momento della gravidanza. Appena si è resa conto il giorno seguente alla sua arrivo che era al sicuro e che tutti intorno a lei erano gentili, si è sentita abbastanza al sicuro da iniziare il travaglio. Il suo travaglio non è stato facile e è stata portata d'urgenza all'ospedale di emergenza SOS Malaga dove sono nati gli ultimi cuccioli vivi e le è stata rimossa l'utero infetto. È anche risultata positiva alla malattia mediterranea Leishmaniosi e ha bisogno di essere trattata prima che la sua gamba venga operata, ma presto Lucia avrà un'operazione per migliorare la sua zampa posteriore destra. Non se ne preoccupa davvero, è molto allegra e ama stare vicino alla gente. È un'anima libera e ama girare in giro per la natura. Lucia è veramente una corridora - è veloce, curiosa e felice quando ha l'opportunità di fare un'avventura, quindi Lucia cerca una casa con un recinto sicuro se è una casa, o un appartamento con un giardino. Ama stare all'aperto. Lucia ha la fortuna di essere in un ambiente di accoglienza, per sperimentare amore e pace. Le passeggiate sono la cosa assoluta preferita al mondo. Preferisce 4-5 passeggiate brevi (10 minuti ciascuna) invece di quelle più lunghe, specialmente a causa della sua gamba. In realtà gode di camminare velocemente - aiuta la sua gamba quando riesce a saltare un po'. Cammina rapidamente con grande gioia. Nello stesso tempo, Lucia ha bisogno anche di molto riposo - per la sua gamba, per il suo passato traumatico, è molto grata per il tempo tranquillo in cui non deve fare nulla e nessuno si aspetta niente da lei. Si rannicchia in ogni angolo, agita dolcemente la coda e cade nel sonno più profondo. Lucia ama dormire con una piccola luce accesa, si spaventa un po' al buio totale. Dorme molto tranquilla da sola e poi viene a strusciarsi nel tuo letto la mattina. Lucia adora i bambini, quando vede i bambini si agita, salta e li bacia, e poi resta calma vicino a loro, li accompagna e si stringe a loro. Si comporta come una madre gentile anche con i bambini umani. Lucia ha subito alcuni traumi passati, ha paura di essere colpita con mani che si muovono velocemente o con oggetti domestici, come padelle o tubi dell'acqua. Ha anche paura di defecare nel giardino e al momento fa solo le sue deiezioni durante le passeggiate, come se avesse paura di una punizione. Quello che non ha paura affatto, è qualsiasi cosa faccia il bambino dell'ambiente di accoglienza - può urlare, lanciare giocattoli, correre attorno e Lucia non ha paura di niente associato al bambino. Lucia sarebbe più felice in una casa con altri cani gentili sociali, maschi o femmine, non importa. È un cane giocoso e sociale e quando i suoi amici canini sono via, è un po' più ansiosa, si appoggia agli altri cani per supporto. Sarebbe anche contenta di una casa dove i suoi umani trascorrono la maggior parte del tempo insieme al loro cane. Lucia è un cane dolce e amoroso, un'anima molto tenera, e ha vissuto traumi nella vita, come quando ti avvicini a lei troppo velocemente o in modo forte, lei si stende subito sul terreno, facendosi piccola. Lucia cerca una coppia di mani care, che passerà il resto della sua vita con lei, facendo piacevoli passeggiate insieme nella natura e stringendosi sul tappeto nelle serate. L'altezza delle spalle di Lucia è circa 49 cm.

Lucia arrived to us in a bad state, starved, with broken leg from long time ago, and in the last moments of pregnancy. As soon as she realised by the next day after her arrival, that she is safe and everyone around her is kind, she felt secure enough to start labor. Her labor was not easy and she had to be rushed to the emergency clinic in SOS Malaga where the remaining living babies were delivered and her infected uterus was removed. She was also diagnosed to be positive in the Mediterranean condition Leishmaniosis and that needs to be treated first before her leg can be operated, but soon Lucia will have an operation to improve her back right paw. She doesn't really care about it herself, she is very cheerful and loves to be around people. She is a free soul and loves to wandering around in the nature. Lucia really is a runner—she’s fast, curious, and happy when she has a chance to go for an adventure, so Lucia is looking for a securely fenced home if it’s a house, or an aparment with a garden. She loves being outdoors. Lucia has the luck of being in a foster home, to experience love and peace. Walks are her absolute favorite thing in the world. She prefers 4–5 short walks (10 minutes each) over longer ones, especially because of her leg. She actually enjoys walking faster—it helps her leg when she gets to jump a bit. She power-walks so happily. At the same time, Lucia also needs a lot of rest - for her leg, for her past trauma, she is very thankful for quiet time where she has nothing to do, and noone expects anything from her. She curls up in every corner, waves her tail gently, and falls into the deepest sleep. Lucia likes to sleep with a little light on, she gets a bit scared of total darkness. She sleeps very peacefully alone and then comes to cuddle you in your bed in the morning. Lucia really loves children, when she sees children, she wiggles, jumps and kisses them, and then stays calms around them, accompanies and cuddles them. She behaves like a kind mother also with human children. Lucia does have some past trauma, she is afraid of being beaten with gast moving hands, or with household items, like pans or a water hose. She is also afraid of peeing in the garden and at the moment she only makes her pees during the walks, as if she is afraid of punishment. What she is not afraid of at all, is anything that the child of the foster home is doing - he can shout, throw toys, run around and Lucia is not afraid of anything associated with the child at all. Lucia would be happiest in a home with other kind social dogs, male or female, doesn’t matter. She is a playful, social dog and when her dog friends are gone, she is a bit more anxious, Lucia leans on other dogs for support. She would also love a home where her humans are spending most of their time together with their dog. Lucia is a kind and loving dog, a very soft soul, and she has experienced trauma in her life before, as when you approach her too rapidly, too strongly, she lays on the ground right away, making herself small. Lucia is looking for a pair of caring hands, who will spend the rest of her life with her, taking nice walks together in the nature and cuddling on the carpet in the evenings. Lucia's approximate shoulder height is 49cm.
