A 9 anni, bella Smudge è arrivata tragicamente in nostro affidamento dopo una rottura relazionale che ha portato il suo proprietario alla condizione di senza fissa dimora. Sta attualmente adattandosi all'ambiente di ospitalità e si sta gradualmente abituando a un grande cambiamento nel suo mondo. Smudge è una ragazza calma e dolce che può essere un po' incerta mentre ritrova la sua strada, ma già mostra quanto sia una splendida compagna. Accetta le ricompense con grande delicatezza, ha ottimi comportamenti e conosce diversi comandi tra cui seduto, giù, rimani, aspetta e cammina. È anche un vero sogno quando è al guinzaglio e adora le sue passeggiate. Essendo vissuta in precedenza in una casa con più cani, Smudge sta gradualmente conoscendo i cani del suo ambiente di ospitalità. Pensiamo che potrebbe vivere con un maschio calmo, paziente e castrato di dimensioni simili, soggetto a introduzioni attente. Anche se Smudge non ha mai convissuto con gatti, è stata calma e amichevole con quelli che ha incontrato nell'ambiente di ospitalità. Le piace salutare altri animali e ha dimostrato una natura molto rilassata. Tuttavia, come tutti i cani, non possiamo garantire come reagirebbe ai compagni felini in un nuovo ambiente domestico. Non è disturbata dagli uccelli, anche se è nota per abbaiare ai volpi locali, forse qualcosa che non ha mai incontrato prima. Smudge non ha mai convissuto con bambini. Adora le persone e gode soprattutto di affetto e compagnia, ma a causa della sua età preferirebbe un ambiente più tranquillo. Pensiamo che sarebbe meglio adatta a una casa con bambini calmi e rispettosi di età pari o superiore ai 12 anni, in grado di comprendere il suo bisogno di spazio e riposo. Questa dolce ragazza trae beneficio dalla compagnia e si adatterebbe bene a una casa dove qualcuno è presente per la maggior parte della giornata. A causa del disagio che ha recentemente sperimentato, può diventare preoccupata se lasciata sola per periodi prolungati, tuttavia con pazienza e rassicurazione ci aspettiamo che la sua fiducia continui a crescere man mano che si stabilizza. At 9 years young, beautiful Smudge has sadly come into our care following a relationship breakdown which resulted in her owner becoming homeless. She is currently settling into foster care and slowly adjusting to a huge change in her world. Smudge is a calm, gentle girl who can be a little unsure while she finds her paws again, but she is already showing what a lovely companion she is. She takes treats very gently, has excellent manners, and knows a range of commands including sit, down, stay, wait and walk. She is also an absolute dream on the lead and thoroughly enjoys her walks. Having previously lived in a multi dog household, Smudge is now gradually getting to know the dogs in her foster home. We feel she could potentially live with a calm, patient, neutered male of a similar size, subject to careful introductions. Although Smudge has never lived with cats, she has been calm and friendly with those she has met in foster. She enjoys greeting other animals and has shown a very relaxed nature. However, as with all dogs, we cannot guarantee how she would respond to feline companions in a new home environment. She is not bothered by birds, although she has been known to bark at the local foxes, perhaps something she has never encountered before. Smudge has not lived with children previously. She absolutely adores people and enjoys nothing more than affection and company, but at her age she would prefer a quieter home environment. We feel she would be best suited to a home with calm, respectful children aged 12 years and over who can understand her need for space and rest. This lovely girl thrives on companionship and would suit a home where someone is around for most of the day. Due to the upheaval she has recently experienced, she can become worried if left alone for long periods, although with patience and reassurance we expect her confidence to continue growing as she settles. Smudge is simply a very loving Akita who deserves a forever home where she will be cherished, spoiled rotten, and never have to wait for love and attention again. Could that be you?
