A ROSA was found on the street. She had a wound on her right hind leg, limped and did not put that paw on the ground, walking almost only with three paws. After veterinary observation, it was concluded that she had probably been bitten by another dog, which caused a severe infection that affected the muscle. The situation was so serious that amputation was considered, but fortunately, after intensive treatment with medication, the infection was controlled. However, the process did not end there. The ROSA still needed about 6 weeks of physiotherapy to start using the paw and regain muscle function. And already after the first week, it was visible that she started putting the paw on the ground. At this moment, the ROSA has returned to the shelter. She still limps slightly, but does not have pain and it will just be a matter of time until she uses the paw normally again. She was very brave and always cooperated very well with the physiotherapists, she really wanted to recover. We are very proud of her. She is also a very kind, very friendly female dog and loves people's attention. She is very open, not at all shy and very curious. Whenever a new person arrives at the shelter, she is one of the first to run to the gate, wanting to be where the action is. She gets along very well with other dogs, she is a fantastic female dog. She walks well on a leash and travels well in a car. The ROSA will be delivered vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and with a microchip.

A Rosa foi encontrada na rua. Tinha uma ferida na pata traseira direita, coxeava e não apoiava essa pata no chão, andando praticamente só com três patas. Após observação veterinária, concluiu-se que terá sido mordida por outro cão, o que originou uma infeção grave que atingiu o músculo. A situação era tão séria que a amputação chegou a ser considerada, mas felizmente, após tratamento intensivo com medicação, a infeção foi controlada. No entanto, o processo não terminou aí. A Rosa precisou ainda de cerca de 6 semanas de fisioterapia para voltar a usar a pata e recuperar a função muscular. E resultou, logo após a primeira semana já se via a apoiar a pata no chão. Neste momento, a Rosa já regressou ao abrigo. Ainda manca ligeiramente, mas não tem dor e será apenas uma questão de tempo até voltar a usar a pata normalmente. Foi muito corajosa e colaborou sempre muito bem com os fisioterapeutas, quis mesmo recuperar. Estamos muito orgulhosos dela. É também uma cadela muito gentil, muito simpática e adora a atenção das pessoas. É muito aberta, nada tímida e muito curiosa. Sempre que alguém novo chega ao abrigo, é das primeiras a correr para o portão, quer estar onde está a ação. Dá-se muito bem com outros cães, é uma cadela fantástica. Anda bem à trela e viaja bem de carro. A Rosa será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
