He is a loving puppy, once comfortable he is a big fan of cuddles and loves to lick, active and curious Sky needs to burn off energy. Very comfortable on walks, recall is learned, he is housebroken, used to sleeping in a crate and needs it to retreat to by himself, even during the day when he feels safe. Currently he lives with 2 other adult border collies, as well as 7 cats and chickens. He accompanies his foster family to work every day, he is in contact with 3 other dogs, he knows how to stay calm and composed. He is used to regular car trips and willingly gets into his transport crate. Sky remains a timid puppy when facing new situations but he is capable of overcoming his fears very quickly, therefore it will be necessary to continue the desensitization work for potential new noises and objects that share his daily life, for this reason, outings are currently only done with a leash for his safety. Sky is intelligent, despite his fears he is evolving and learning very quickly, he easily adapts to any new situation if he feels surrounded and reassured by the human or dog friends. Sky is a nice puppy, manageable (taking treatment, deworming...), he accepted a bath and enjoys brushing. It is a puppy with whom you need to be gentle and patient, if these two criteria are respected then Sky will trust you with his eyes closed. The ideal family for Sky would be a family that already has another dog not too rough, a family that will have the patience to continue the trust building work, a dynamic and present family, Sky is a dynamic and determined puppy who could ideally do agility or maybe herding (presence of interest behavior but not tested). C’est un chiot affectueux une fois à l’aise il est un gros demandeur de papouilles et il adore faire des léchouilles, actif & curieux Sky à besoin de se dépenser. Très à l’aise en balade , le rappel est acquis , il est propre, habitué à dormir en caisse et à besoin de cette dernière pour s’y réfugier de lui-même , même en journée où il s’y sent en sécurité. Actuellement il cohabite avec 2 autres border adultes, ainsi que 7 chats et des poules. Il accompagne sa famille d’accueil au travail chaque jour, il est en contact avec 3 autres chiens, il sait rester calme et posé. Il est habitué au trajet régulier en voiture et il monte volontiers dans sa caisse de transport. Sky reste un chiot craintif face aux nouvelles situations mais il est capable de surmonté ses peurs très rapidement il faudra donc continuer le travail de désensibilisation aux éventuels nouveaux bruits et objets qui partagent son quotidien, de ce fait pour le moment les sorties se font uniquement avec une longe pour sa sécurité. Sky est intelligent, malgré ses craintes il évolue et apprend très rapidement, il s’adapte facilement à toutes nouvelles situations s’il se sent entouré et rassuré par l’humain ou les copains chiens. Sky est un gentil chiot, manipulable (prise de traitement, vermifuge…) il a accepté de prendre un bain et il apprécie le brossage. C’est un chiot avec qui il faudra être doux et patient si ces deux critères sont respectés alors Sky vous fera confiance les yeux fermés. La famille idéale pour Sky serait une famille qui a déjà un autre chien pas trop brusque, une famille qui aura la patience de continuer le travail de mise en confiance, une famille dynamique et présente, Sky est un chiot dynamique et volontaire qui pourrait idéalement faire de l’agility ou peut-être du troupeau (présence de comportement d’intéressement mais pas testé).
