Rusty can be with children from teenage age. He shows extreme cuddliness with people and also climbs onto the human lap when he can. With other dogs, he is friendly by sympathy; he was also the second dog in his last home and lived with a cat. Without a second dog, he had some trouble being left alone – this should be factored into the new home. He knows a chest harness and leash, goes nicely on the leash, and is house-trained. Ohne zweiten Hund tat er sich mit dem Alleinebleiben etwas schwer – dies sollte im neuen Zuhause einkalkuliert werden. Er kennt Brustgeschirr und Leine, geht auch brav an der Leine und ist stubenrein. Für den lieben Rüden suchen wir ein Zuhause am ruhigen Stadtrand oder Land, da er auf Umweltreize noch sehr unsicher reagiert.“
