Little Shorty was simply abandoned along with his mother Mala and his siblings Stups and Remo and left to fend for themselves. Fortunately, we have since been able to place all four in a rescue shelter in Romania. They are being cared for there and are just learning that people can be kind to them, too. But their real lives will only begin when they find a home that will never let them go—because they've finally arrived. You can't help but like Shorty; it's almost impossible to resist his sweet puppy charm. Unsurprisingly, he was still a little shy during his first vet visit, but overall he shows himself to be open, loving, and curious. He discovers and explores toys with great enthusiasm. With other dogs he is sociable, as is typical for his age, but he especially loves cuddling and romping with his siblings. He already knows cats and enjoys their company. Handsome Shorty is around 6 weeks old, currently weighs about 3.8 kg, and is expected to grow into a medium-sized, elegant male dog. In addition to his beautiful Nordic coat markings, his radiant, crystal-blue eyes are particularly striking—an inheritance from his wonderful Husky mother. Given this genetic mix, it's safe to assume that Shorty will become an energetic, active dog who also needs mental stimulation and has a clever, quite self-assured little mind. He is looking for people who love to experience small and big adventures with him, give him plenty of time to play and stay busy, and build a close bond with him. He is still a puppy and has to learn everything: house-training, leash walking, everyday noises, and all the basics of being a dog. Adolescence will also be an exciting phase requiring patience, loving consistency, and a good dose of humor—even if not everything goes perfectly right away, he will develop wonderfully with time and heart. Der kleine Shorty wurde zusammen mit seiner Mutter Mala und seinen Geschwistern Stups und Remo einfach ausgesetzt und dem Schicksal überlassen. Zum Glück konnten wir inzwischen alle vier in einer rumänischen Auffangstation unterbringen. Dort werden sie versorgt und lernen gerade, dass Menschen auch gut zu ihnen sein können. Doch ihr eigentliches Leben beginnt erst dann, wenn sie ein Zuhause finden, das sie nicht mehr gehen lässt – weil sie angekommen sind. Shorty muss man einfach mögen, seinem süßen Welpencharme kann man sich kaum entziehen. Beim ersten Tierarztbesuch war er, wen wundert es, noch etwas schüchtern, doch insgesamt zeigt er sich offen, lieb und neugierig. Besonders Spielzeug wird mit großer Begeisterung entdeckt und erkundet. Mit anderen Hunden zeigt er sich altersentsprechend sozial, am liebsten kuschelt und tobt er jedoch mit seinen Geschwistern. Auch Katzen kennt er bereits und mag ihre Gesellschaft. Der hübsche Shorty ist rund 6 Wochen alt, wiegt aktuell ca. 3,8 kg und wird voraussichtlich einmal ein mittelgroßer, edler Rüde werden. Neben seiner schönen nordischen Fellzeichnung fallen besonders seine strahlend kristallblauen Augen auf – ein Erbe seiner tollen Husky-Mutter. Durch die genetische Mischung ist davon auszugehen, dass Shorty später ein bewegungsfreudiger, aktiver Hund werden wird, der auch geistig gefordert werden möchte und ein kluges, durchaus selbstbewusstes Köpfchen mitbringt. Er sucht Menschen, die gerne mit ihm kleine und große Abenteuer erleben, ihm viel Zeit zum Spielen und Beschäftigen schenken und dabei eine enge Bindung zu ihm aufbauen. Noch ist er ein Welpe und muss alles erst lernen: Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit, Alltagsgeräusche und das gesamte Hunde-Einmaleins. Auch die Pubertät wird eine spannende Phase, in der Geduld, liebevolle Konsequenz und eine Portion Humor gefragt sind – auch wenn nicht alles sofort perfekt klappt, wird er sich mit Zeit und Herz wunderbar entwickeln. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und der Übernahme einer Schutzgebühr reist Shorty gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und mit einem EU-Heimtierausweis. Altersbedingt ist er noch nicht kastriert. Welches Zuhause darf unser außergewöhnlicher Shorty komplett machen? Auch das Angebot einer Pflegestelle könnte für ihn den entscheidenden Unterschied machen.
