Xania was our little sausage, our dancing princess, our shy but happy girl. We are devastated, deeply hurt and feel so cheated. We are happy that she had the chance to enjoy the Dutch grass, to live in a house with a roof over her head and to feel the personal love of a human, one on one. Xania was fully vaccinated BUT Leptospirosis comes in many strains. The common booster that we give our animals yearly is not enough sometimes. This time. Please talk to your veterinarian about this. And if you can, supplement your animal’s vaccine schedule with an extra Leptospirosis vaccine containing many strains of the virus. This virus is transferred through rat urine.
