Basket – a cat, who deserves a peaceful autumn of life. Basket was found by kind people near the plots on Warsaw Street in Poznan. She was in such a bad condition that initially they thought she was a young kitten – hence her name. Unfortunately, the truth turned out to be even sadder: she is a cat over 10 years old, maybe even 14, energetic by years of being forgotten. 😢💔 When she came under care, she weighed only 1.9 kg, had dull, faded fur, a holey ear and muscle atrophy. She can see, but very poorly - an ophthalmologist confirmed that her vision is severely limited. In addition, there were serious health problems: stage III kidney disease, requiring regular infusions, high blood pressure, a respiratory infection with a strong cough, and a terrible oral condition - calculus prevented her from closing her jaws. Fortunately, the dentist removed the calculus (using his finger!), and her teeth turned out to be in better condition than expected, so they don't need to be removed. Basket also received treatment for the upper respiratory infection and slowly began to recover. Today she is in a foster home, where she finally experiences peace. She now weighs about 2.5 kg, although gaining weight is difficult with her diet (monoprotein kangaroo food to not burden the pancreas). Her fur looks better, and she has more strength - sometimes she walks around the house, though most of the time she sleeps deeply, as if making up for years of stress and hunger. Basket is a quiet, "invisible" cat - she must have been like that for years, since no one noticed her sad fate. And yet, when she feels a human touch, her tail lifts with joy. 🥰 It's a sign that despite everything, she still longs for love.

Basket – kotka, która zasługuje na spokojną jesień życia Basket została znaleziona przez dobrych ludzi w okolicach działek przy ul. Warszawskiej w Poznaniu. Była w tak złym stanie, że początkowo myślano, iż to młody kociak – stąd jej imię. Niestety, prawda okazała się jeszcze smutniejsza: to kotka w wieku ponad 10 lat, może nawet 14, wyniszczona przez lata życia w zapomnieniu. 😢💔 Gdy trafiła pod opiekę, ważyła zaledwie 1,9 kg, miała matowe, spłowiałe futro, podziurawione ucho i zaniki mięśni. Widzi, ale bardzo słabo – okulista potwierdził, że jej wzrok jest mocno ograniczony. Do tego dochodziły poważne problemy zdrowotne: III stadium choroby nerek, wymagające regularnych kroplówek, nadciśnienie, infekcja dróg oddechowych z silnym katarem, fatalny stan jamy ustnej – kamień uniemożliwiał jej domknięcie szczęki. Na szczęście dentysta usunął kamień (odłupując go palcem!), a zęby okazały się w lepszym stanie niż przypuszczano, więc nie trzeba ich usuwać. Basket przeszła też leczenie infekcji górnych dróg oddechowych i powoli zaczęła dochodzić do siebie. Dziś jest w domu tymczasowym, gdzie wreszcie zaznaje spokoju. Waży już około 2,5 kg, choć przy jej diecie (monobiałkowa karma z kangura, by nie obciążać trzustki) przybieranie na wadze jest trudne. Futerko wygląda lepiej, a ona sama ma więcej sił – czasem spaceruje po domu, choć większość czasu przesypia głęboko, jakby nadrabiała lata stresu i głodu.Basket jest kotką cichą, „niewidzialną” – przez lata musiała taka być, skoro nikt wcześniej nie zauważył jej marnego losu A jednak, gdy poczuje ludzki dotyk, jej ogonek unosi się z radości. 🥰 To znak, że mimo wszystkiego wciąż pragnie miłości.
