Our little buddy is looking for a home where he can finally feel truly at home. The 6-year-old Maltese was surrendered to us because there had been snapping incidents in his previous home. At our animal shelter, Buddy shows himself to be approachable: He enjoys being petted, seeks the company of his trusted caregivers, and continues to develop more and more each day. Of course, Buddy does have some areas that need improvement, and his new owners will need to work on these together with him. Attending dog training school is very important for him, as it will help him gain confidence and further solidify the foundations for harmonious coexistence. Buddy also still needs to learn how to handle being left alone, and this should be introduced gradually and with great care. With other dogs, it’s all about whether they like each other or not. Unfortunately, we can’t say for sure whether Buddy gets along with cats, as we don’t have any experience in that regard. As a Maltese, Buddy requires regular grooming. Visits to the groomer are just as essential for him as daily brushing. Right now, Buddy isn’t particularly fond of being brushed yet, so this should continue to be practiced patiently and with positive reinforcement. In addition, during his stay with us, Buddy already received dental treatment and can now start his new life with a healthy set of teeth. We’d like to find a calm home for Buddy—one where people are willing to give him time, patience, and loving, consistent guidance. Small children shouldn’t live in the household. On the other hand, we could well imagine teenagers who understand respectful interactions with dogs. Buddy is looking for people who don’t just love him for his cute appearance, but who will give him the chance to build trust and work together with him toward a happy future. Whoever gives him this opportunity will gain a loving little companion who, with the right guidance, can show just how big his heart really is.

Unser kleiner Buddy ist auf der Suche nach einem Zuhause, in dem er endlich ankommen darf. Der 6 Jahre zeigt sich bei uns im Tierheim sehr zugänglich: Er genießt Streicheleinheiten, sucht die Nähe seiner Bezugspersonen und entwickelt sich jeden Tag ein Stück weiter. Natürlich bringt Buddy auch kleine Baustellen mit, an denen seine neuen Menschen gemeinsam mit ihm arbeiten sollten. Der Besuch einer Hundeschule ist für ihn sehr wichtig, damit er Sicherheit gewinnt und die Grundlagen für ein harmonisches Zusammenleben weiter gefestigt werden. Mit anderen Hunden entscheidet bei ihm die Sympathie. Buddy ist leider mit Katzen nicht kompatibel. Als Malteser benötigt Buddy regelmäßige Fellpflege. Besuche beim Hundefriseur gehören für ihn ebenso dazu wie das tägliche Bürsten. Gerade das Bürsten lässt Buddy derzeit noch nicht besonders gerne zu und sollte deshalb geduldig und mit positiver Bestärkung weiter geübt werden. Außerdem durfte Buddy während seines Aufenthalts bei uns bereits eine Zahnsanierung erhalten und kann nun mit einem gesunden Gebiss in sein neues Leben starten. Für Buddy wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges Zuhause bei Menschen, die bereit sind, ihm Zeit, Geduld und eine liebevolle, konsequente Führung zu schenken. Kleine Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt leben. Teenager, die den respektvollen Umgang mit Hunden kennen, können wir uns hingegen gut vorstellen. Buddy sucht Menschen, die ihn nicht nur wegen seines niedlichen Aussehens lieben, sondern ihm die Chance geben, Vertrauen aufzubauen und gemeinsam mit ihm an einer glücklichen Zukunft zu arbeiten. Wer ihm diese Chance schenkt, gewinnt einen liebevollen kleinen Begleiter, der mit der richtigen Führung sein großes Herz zeigen kann.
