24-07-26 Carys is a lovely lady who has come into our care from a breeder. She is a larger girl with a typically sweet Cavalier nature. Carys is good with her kennel friends and clearly enjoys having other dogs around. She is easy to handle, although she can be scared when approached and may become submissive while she works out that she is safe. Carys gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Carys has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and give her time to adjust to her new surroundings. Carys will need an adult-only home that is calm and quiet as she settles into her new home. Her adopters will need to have ex-breeding experience and understand nervous dogs. Carys has arrived with sore skin and a thinning coat. She will need a good diet and grrom, and our vets will monitor her to ensure she receives any care she needs. This will need to be continued in her new home. Carys is a very sweet girl who is still learning that people can be kind. With the support of a friendly dog and a patient family, we hope she will continue to grow in confidence and enjoy all the comforts of home life. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
