Cheddar est un jeune chien profondément attachant qui ne demande qu'à s'épanouir. Sensible, il a besoin d'un temps d'observation pour se sentir en confiance. Face aux inconnus, Cheddar préfère garder ses distances au départ, c'est pour cette raison qu'il porte une muselière lors de ses sorties, un accessoire qu'il accepte d'ailleurs très sereinement et qui lui permet d'évoluer en toute sécurité, sans pression. Très sociable avec ses congénères, il s'épanouira pleinement aux côtés d'un autre chien équilibré qui pourra lui servir de modèle. Il recherche un cadre de vie calme, hors des centres-urbains, pour éviter le stress des environnements trop denses. Il peut rejoindre un foyer avec de grands enfants, à condition que ces derniers respectent son rythme et son besoin d'espace.
