Elsie is a clever, energetic and loving girl who is always on the go! She has so much enthusiasm for life and absolutely adores the people she knows and trusts. It can take her a little time to feel safe around new people, but once you've earned her trust, you'll discover a very affectionate girl who loves being around her favourite humans.Elsie is a bright girl with a mind of her own, and she'll need a home that can help her channel all that energy into positive activities. She loves her food more than anything, which is a fantastic bonus when it comes to training, building confidence and making friends! She'll thrive with someone who enjoys keeping an active dog busy and can provide her with plenty of mental stimulation, consistency and positive training.Elsie is best suited to an experienced owner who is confident handling large, energetic dogs. She doesn't always have the best awareness of her size, either, so an adult-only home is essential.Elsie hasn't had the easiest start in life, and she needs someone who understands that trust takes time. She can struggle to feel safe around other dogs, so she must be the only dog in the home and will need ongoing training and careful management to help her feel more comfortable. Due to her high prey drive, she cannot live with cats. Elsie is currently being muzzle trained as part of helping her navigate the world safely.Elsie can be left alone for short periods, but this will need to be built up gradually as she settles into her new home.Elsie has so much potential, and is a loving girl who wants to feel safe and understood. She's looking for someone who can appreciate her clever mind and big personality, and help her learn that the world doesn't have to feel so overwhelming. If you are able to provide Elsie with the patience and love she needs, you could be the person who helps her begin her new chapter!
