Fenno is looking for lots of affection! Fenno lived together with his two brothers on the premises of a company, where some people took care of the dogs. However, they could no longer stay there and there was a risk that they would be taken to a public animal shelter, so they were taken over. The dogs had already lived there since their childhood. Initially, they were rather cautious towards strangers and guarded their familiar environment. In the shelter, Fenno shows himself as very people-oriented and friendly. As soon as he sees people, he comes wagging his tail to the fence and immediately seeks contact. He sniffs interestedly, licks hands and presses his head closely against his caregivers. Fenno enjoys petting very much and can be touched anywhere without problems. Fenno appears open and affectionate and actively seeks the company of people. His compatibility with other dogs has not yet been accurately assessed, but he previously lived together with his brothers without problems. This furry face is new in the shelter. Our staff take the time to get to know each dog and assess them. If we learn more about the character of this furry face, we will supplement this profile. Please inform yourself here about the requirements for adopting a herding dog. HSH mixes are often very independent and need a confident leadership. HUNDENAME suffers from arthritis / hip dysplasia. Therefore, a home without many stairs is being sought to spare the dog pain. (This furry face will need medication for life.) HUNDENAME has a scar on the muzzle. This is not uncommon in Romania. Many people still believe there that one protects dogs from diseases by burning their muzzles. However, this scar does not affect this furry face at all. HUNDENAME has a docked ear/ two docked ears/ a docked tail. Many dogs in Romania have these cut off to make the animals look more dangerous. HUNDENAME has a short tail. It is unclear whether his/her tail is docked or natural. HUNDENAME is underweight. The animals usually get too little or nothing to eat on the streets or in killing stations, so they lose a lot of weight. However, our furry face is now being fed more in the shelter and is hopefully soon back to a normal weight. HUNDENAME is somewhat overweight. Often people mean well with the dogs and feed them beyond their healthy ideal weight. However, the furry face may still lose a little weight in the shelter so that it can go to the new home slim and elegant. Due to the health condition and the advanced age, we are looking for a sanctuary place for this furry face. With a sanctuary place, higher veterinary costs are covered upon agreement with the association and the protection fee is waived. The dog should thus have a better chance of finding a home to spend the rest of its life in peace and safety. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated against fleas and neutered (exceptions are puppies up to 6 months and very old dogs) before leaving.
