Mochi is a charming, beige-colored puppy with beautiful, fluffy fur and tremendous potential to become a wonderful canine companion. On walks, she walks nicely on the leash, maintains good eye contact with her handler, and often responds promptly when called. She enjoys going for walks together, eagerly joins in play sessions, and over time has become increasingly brave and confident about seeking petting. However, this dog hasn't had an easy life. She’s cautious around new people and needs time to feel safe. It’s clear that certain past experiences still linger within her—sudden movements can startle her, and she tends to be more reserved around men. Yet once she realizes there’s no danger, she opens up and reveals her gentler side. Mochi reacts very emotionally to other dogs, especially those behind the bars of shelter kennels. During walks, she shows a clear interest in them and sometimes—even out of excitement or frustration—may bark at them. Therefore, she’ll need an owner who can help her calmly work through her emotions and build confidence in interactions with other dogs. Her soft, fluffy coat is undoubtedly a real asset, but it requires regular grooming. Right now, her coat is heavily matted, so her future guardian should be prepared to ensure Mochi’s comfort and gradually accustom her to grooming procedures in a calm, patient manner. We’re looking for a calm, patient home for Mochi—one that will give her the time she needs to build trust. She’d thrive best with people willing to work patiently with her and accept that she won’t immediately reveal her whole heart. In return, they’ll gain a loyal companion who will take small, steady steps every day toward a brighter, better life. We don’t recommend Mochi for homes with young children or for lively households where there’s a lot of activity going on. We don’t know how Mochi gets along with other companion animals, including cats. As part of the adoption process, we strongly encourage a pre-adoption visit to see how Mochi adjusts to the home environment and the potential walking neighborhood. If Mochi were to join a household that already has another pet, a meet-and-greet with the resident animal would be required.

Mochi bardzo emocjonalnie reaguje na inne psy, szczególnie te znajdujące się za kratami schroniskowych boksów. Na spacerach wyraźnie się nimi interesuje, czasem z ekscytacji lub frustracji potrafi na nie naszczekać. Dlatego będzie potrzebował opiekuna, który pomoże mu spokojnie pracować nad emocjami i kontaktami z psim gatunkiem. Jego miękka, kudłata sierść jest niewątpliwą ozdobą, ale wymaga regularnej pielęgnacji. Obecnie jest mocno skołtuniona, dlatego przyszły opiekun powinien być gotowy zadbać o komfort Mochiego i przyzwyczajać go do zabiegów pielęgnacyjnych w spokojny, cierpliwy sposób. Szukamy dla Mochiego spokojnego, cierpliwego domu, który da mu czas na zbudowanie zaufania. Najlepiej odnajdzie się u osób gotowych pracować z psem i zaakceptować, że nie od razu pokaże całe swoje serce. W zamian zyskają wiernego towarzysza, który każdego dnia będzie robił kolejne małe kroki ku nowemu, lepszemu życiu. Nie polecamy Mochiego do domu z małymi dziećmi, domu głośnego, w którym dużo się dzieje. Nie znamy stosunku Mochiego do innych zwierząt towarzyszących, w tym kotów. W procesie adopcyjnym rekomendujemy wizytę przedadopcyjną, aby sprawdzić jak Mochi odnajdzie się w domu oraz potencjalnej okolicy spacerowej. Jeśli Mochi miałby trafić do domu, gdzie jest już inne zwierzę, wymagane będzie zapoznanie z rezydentem.
