This remarkable boy was born in 2024, meaning he’s currently about two years old. Omlet is still a very young dog, on the threshold of his adult life—a life full of the longest, most wonderful years ahead. He’s a powerfully built dog, weighing in at 38.5 kg, proudly displaying his magnificent, large frame and the charm of dogs of the Labrador Retriever breed type. This beautiful, biscuit-colored giant is eagerly searching for someone who can transform his sad fate! Despite his proud Labrador appearance, Omlet’s inner world is, at this moment, an oasis of incredible gentleness—and deep-seated fear. Life hasn’t spared him difficult moments, leaving him utterly paralyzed by the reality of the shelter: the constant roar of barking all around him and the presence of unfamiliar people. Right now, Omlet is a deeply distrustful and extremely frightened dog :( In initial encounters, he avoids eye contact, curls up tightly in his kennel, and desperately seeks safe refuge. Yet, there’s not a trace of aggression or defiance in him—at times of fear, he simply freezes, pleading with his whole being for just a little peace and quiet. All it takes is a moment of deep patience, a calm, warm voice, and absolutely no pressure, and this big boy will begin to slowly, very slowly, absorb the presence of humans. Our dedicated volunteers are doing everything they can to care for him, but the shelter kennel is the worst possible place for such a sensitive giant to build self-confidence.
