On July 22nd, people found a medium-sized (about 9 kg) red male dog near the P89 highway, about ten kilometers past Vecumnieki, who was running through the busy road, putting himself and others in danger. The finders were in a hurry to catch a flight to Riga, and after quickly inquiring with the residents of nearby houses, they were unable to locate the owner. They took the barking dog with them and led him closer to Riga, handing him over to the Ropaži municipal police. Since the dog was not microchipped, he eventually ended up at the shelter... People actively spread the news about the found dog on social networks, and someone even claimed to know the dog's owners and would pass on the information, but no one has contacted the shelter yet. This is a bit strange, because when the red dog was found, it was clear that someone had carefully trimmed his hair before... Now we are looking for new and responsible owners for the little red dog. The dog is around 6 years old. We have noticed changes in his heartbeat, which does not prevent him from living a full life. A kind, good-natured and well-behaved fellow, who has had his first experience walking on a leash at the shelter. We estimate that the dog will feel best in a quiet and peaceful environment, without active participation in social activities - a real favorite and darling of his owners. He will be more suitable for life in a private house with a solid fence (most likely, he was used to roaming around before, so he will not forget his old habits without a proper fence). Living in a city apartment, the new owners will have to work harder to encourage the dog to walk on a leash in the city streets.

22.jūlijā pie autoceļa P89, vēl krietnus desmit kilometrus aiz Vecumniekiem, cilvēki atrada vidēja auguma (ap 9 kg) rudo suņvīreli, kurš, apdraudot sevi un izraisot avārijas situācijas, skraidīja pa satiksmes pilno ceļu. Tā kā atradēji steidzās uz lidostu Rīgā, bet, ātri aptaujājot tuvāko māju iedzīvotājus, saimniekus noskaidrot neizdevās, rējēju paņēma līdzi un paveda tuvāk Rīgai, nododot Ropažu pašvaldības policijas pārziņā. Tā kā rējējs izrādījās nečipēts, beigu galā viņš nonāca patversmē… Sociālajos tīklos ļaudis aktīvi izplatīja ziņu par atrasto suņvīreli, un kāds pat teicās zinām rējēja saimniekus un padošot ziņu, taču neviens ar patversmi tā arī nav sazinājies. Tas gan ir nedaudz dīvaini, jo, ruduli atrodot, bija redzams, ka kāds iepriekš gana rūpīgi viņam frizūru apgriezis… Lai kā arī būtu, tagad rudulītim meklēsim jaunus un atbildīgus saimniekus. Suņuks ir vecumā ap 6 gadiem. Esam konstatējuši izmaiņas sirdsdarbībā, kas gan netraucē viņam pilnvērtīgi dzīvot. Sirsnīgs, labdabīgs un kārtīgs vīrelis, kuram patversmē ir pirmā pieredze doties pastaigās pavadā. Lēšam, ka visoptimālāk suņuks jutīsies klusinātā un mierīgā vidē, bez aktīvas iesaistes sabiedriskajās aktivitātēs – tāds īsts savu saimnieku mīlulis un luteklis. Būs vairāk piemērots dzīvei privātmājā ar necaurumainu žogu (visticamāk, iepriekš radis klaiņot apkārt, tāpēc bez kārtīga žoga vecos niķus neaizmirsīs). Dzīvojot pilsētas dzīvoklī, jaunajiem saimniekiem būs vairāk jāpiestrādā, iedrošinot rējējiņu pastaigām pavadā pa pilsētas ielām.
