Year of birth: 2021 Prusek became a victim of abandonment. His former owner left him in a carrier, along with another cat named Ken, not far from our shelter. Fortunately, our volunteers spotted the abandoned carrier in time and reacted swiftly. It’s hard to imagine what could have happened if the cats had stayed there longer. Prusek is a blind kitten—his eyes are not fully developed. Despite his disability, he adapts wonderfully to his familiar surroundings and manages perfectly well in everyday life. Recently, it seemed as though fate was finally smiling on him. He went to a foster home, but just a few days later, he returned to the shelter. The reason for his return was the resident female cat’s lack of acceptance. Unfortunately, the cats weren’t given enough time to get to know each other calmly and build mutual trust, so their relationship had no chance to develop. After returning from his foster placement, Prusek has changed dramatically. He’s disoriented, withdrawn, and apathetic. It’s hard for him to understand why he’s lost yet another place that was supposed to be his home. He’s a very gentle and sensitive cat. When he feels safe, he loves being petted, purrs loudly, kneads vigorously, and gives little kisses—so at the shelter, he earned the endearing nickname “Całuśek.” He needs a patient caregiver who will give him time, understanding, and allow him to rebuild his trust in people. Prusek is looking for a real home—a home where he’ll be treated like a member of the family and where no one will give up on him after just a few days. A home that will offer him time, love, and a sense of security forever.

Rok urodzenia: 2021 Prusek stał się ofiarą porzucenia. Jego była właścicielka zostawiła go w transporterku razem z drugim kotem, Kenem, niedaleko naszego schroniska. Na szczęście nasi wolontariusze zauważyli porzucony transporter w porę i szybko zareagowali. Trudno sobie wyobrazić, co mogłoby się stać, gdyby koty pozostały tam dłużej. Prusek jest kotkiem niewidomym – jego gałki oczne nie są w pełni wykształcone. Mimo swojej niepełnosprawności świetnie odnajduje się w znanym otoczeniu i doskonale radzi sobie na co dzień. Niedawno wydawało się, że los w końcu się do niego uśmiechnął. Pojechał do domu adopcyjnego, jednak już po kilku dniach wrócił do schroniska. Powodem zwrotu był brak akceptacji ze strony kotki rezydentki. Niestety, kotom nie dano czasu na spokojne zapoznanie się i wzajemne oswojenie, przez co relacja nie miała szans się rozwinąć. Po powrocie z adopcji Prusek bardzo się zmienił. Jest zdezorientowany, wycofany i apatyczny. Trudno mu zrozumieć, dlaczego po raz kolejny stracił miejsce, które miało być jego domem. To bardzo delikatny i wrażliwy kot. Gdy poczuje się bezpiecznie, uwielbia głaskanie, głośno mruczy, strzela baranki i rozdaje buziaki, dlatego w schronisku zyskał uroczy pseudonim Całuśek. Potrzebuje cierpliwego opiekuna, który da mu czas, zrozumienie i pozwoli odbudować zaufanie do ludzi. Prusek szuka prawdziwego domu – takiego, w którym będzie traktowany jak członek rodziny i w którym nikt nie zrezygnuje z niego po kilku dniach. Domu, który da mu czas, miłość i poczucie bezpieczeństwa na zawsze.
