He loves being with his people, enjoys playing games and going for walks, and is happiest when he can curl up beside his special person at the end of the day. Sadly, Stitch is looking for a new home due to a change in his owner’s working hours which means he is now left alone for long periods. Stitch is an adventurous boy and walks nicely on and off the lead. He is an active boy with a typical dachshund bark and likes to let everyone know what’s going on around him. He can be barky around unfamiliar people and other dogs, so we are looking for patient adopters who understand the breed. He is happy to make friends, though, particularly if treats are on offer! Stitch has met and made friends with other dogs in his current family, but he currently lives as an only dog. He thrives on human attention and would benefit from being someone’s precious one-and-only, where he can relax, build confidence and enjoy life. Potentially, he could live with an older, spayed female dog, probably a dachshund, if they met and got on well. Stitch is in excellent health. He travels well in the car. At night-time, he sleeps in a basket downstairs. Overall, Stitch is a gorgeous boy who will be a great addition for a daxie-loving family who will give him the patience and training he needs to reach his full potential.
