Timmy arrived with an advanced case of leishmaniasis. When he entered the animal shelter (last photo), the disease was affecting his eyes, ears and even his joints. It has been a long process, but little by little he has overcome it, and now finally you can see the beautiful dog that was behind all that, with a healthier and stronger body. However, there is still the most important part: healing his soul. He is a playful, mischievous and very curious dog, who feels much more secure with the company of other dogs. They are his reference and help him deal with what still scares him. With people he is still not very trusting. He does not let himself be touched or wear a harness to go for a walk; he needs time, space and for us to respect his pace. We know that when he arrives at a calm home and feels safe, he will take the step. He just needs someone who knows how to look beyond his barks and his fears, and who understands all the journey he has already made. Since he still doesn't go for walks, we haven't been able to test him with cats. What we do know for sure is that the stimuli of a city would be too much for him, so we are looking for a family in a rural or very quiet environment, where he can live calmly and continue gaining trust. Timmy has already won the hardest battle. Now he just needs to find that place where he can finally feel at home. If you think you could be that person, come and meet him.

Quan va entrar al refugi (última foto), la malaltia li afectava els ulls, les orelles i fins i tot les articulacions. Ha estat un procés llarg, però a poc a poc l’ha anat superant, i ara per fi es pot veure el gos preciós que hi havia darrere de tot allò, amb un cos més sa i fort. Encara queda, però, la part més important: curar la seva ànima. És un gos divertit, trapella i molt tafaner, que se sent molt més segur amb la companyia d’altres gossos 🐕 Ells són el seu referent i l’ajuden a gestionar el que encara li fa por. Amb les persones encara no és gaire confiat. No es deixa tocar ni posar l’arnès per sortir a passejar; necessita temps, espai i que respectem el seu ritme. Sabem que, quan arribi a una llar tranquil·la i se senti segur, farà el pas. Només necessita algú que sàpiga mirar més enllà de les seves corredisses i dels seus lladrucs de por, i que entengui tot el camí que ja ha recorregut. Com que encara no passeja, no l’hem pogut provar amb gats. El que sí tenim clar és que els estímuls d’una ciutat serien massa per a ell, així que busquem una família en un entorn rural o molt tranquil 🌿, on pugui viure amb calma i continuar guanyant confiança. En Timmy ja ha guanyat la batalla més difícil. Ara només li falta trobar aquell lloc on sentir-se, per fi, a casa 🏡 Si creus que pots ser tu, vine a conèixer-lo.
