Whisky, who is affectionately called Theo at his foster home, has been developing step by step since his arrival in Germany and is increasingly showing what a special dog lies within him. Beneath his cautious and sensitive nature lies a true treasure that is beginning to trust and take more part in everyday life. Theo is now well settled and reliably orientates himself to his trusted people. He now comes to the harness himself, takes treats out of his handler's hand, and even requests them charmingly and cautiously. He has also shown his first small signs of wagging his tail. It is particularly beautiful that he actively seeks the proximity and support of his people in situations that unsettle him. Theo is a very sensitive and somewhat insecure dog. If something becomes too loud, hectic, or too close, his first impulse is to flee. Despite this, he remains approachable and does not shut down. If given space, distance, and orientation, he will reliably come along and accept support. For Theo, it is incredibly important to be able to observe and assess situations with a bit of distance. Theo could potentially get along well with other dogs in the long term, especially with confident dogs. Here, for example, his Galgo friend in the foster family is a good example. Therefore, we can envision him well as a second dog or in a larger, quieter pack, where he would have the opportunity to observe many things and would not have to be the center of attention alone. Theo enjoys physical closeness only in small doses. He likes to lie relaxed on the couch, sleep deeply, and now even dream – including tail-wagging, gentle barking, or growling in his sleep. Cuddles at the head are sometimes pleasant for Theo, but he does not want intense cuddling. Theo communicates very clearly and fairly when something becomes too much for him, without being aggressive. His future people should therefore have understanding for his boundaries and not push him into anything.

Whisky, der auf seiner Pflegestelle liebevoll Theo genannt wird, entwickelt sich seit einer Ankunft in Deutschland Schritt für Schritt weiter und zeigt immer deutlicher, was für ein besonderer Hund in ihm steckt. Unter seiner vorsichtigen und sensiblen Art verbirgt sich ein echter Schatz, der beginnt Vertrauen zu fassen und immer mehr am Alltag teilzunehmen. Inzwischen ist Theo gut angekommen und orientiert sich zuverlässig an seinen Bezugspersonen. Er kommt mittlerweile von selbst zum Geschirr anziehen, nimmt Leckerchen aus der Hand und fordert diese sogar charmant wenn auch vorsichtig ein. Auch erste kleine Erste Schwanzwedler gab es schon. Besonders schön ist, dass er in Situationen, die ihn verunsichern, aktiv die Nähe und Unterstützung seiner Menschen sucht. Theo ist ein sehr feinfühliger und eher unsicherer Hund. Wenn ihm etwas zu laut, hektisch oder zu nah wird, ist sein erster Impuls die Flucht. Trotzdem bleibt er dabei ansprechbar und macht nicht „dicht“. Gibt man ihm Ruhe, Abstand und Orientierung, kommt er zuverlässig mit und nimmt Unterstützung gut an. Für Theo ist es enorm wichtig, Situationen erst einmal mit etwas Abstand beobachten und einschätzen zu dürfen. Mit anderen Hunden könnte Theo sich langfristig gut arrangieren, insbesondere an souveränen Hunden orientiert er sich gerne. Hier ist es zB. seine Galgo Freundin in der Pflegefamilie.Deshalb können wir ihn uns sehr gut als Zweithund oder auch in einem größeren, ruhigen Rudel vorstellen. Dort hätte er die Möglichkeit, sich vieles abzuschauen und müsste nicht alleine im Mittelpunkt stehen. Körperliche Nähe genießt Theo nur in kleinen Dosen. Er liegt gerne entspannt mit auf der Couch, schläft tief und träumt inzwischen regelmäßig – inklusive Schwanzwedeln, leisen Bellern oder Knurren im Schlaf. Streicheleinheiten am Kopf findet er manchmal angenehm, intensives Kuscheln möchte er jedoch nicht. Theo kommuniziert dabei sehr klar und fair, wenn ihm etwas zu viel wird, ohne dabei aggressiv zu sein. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten deshalb Verständnis für seine Grenzen mitbringen und ihn zu nichts drängen.
