A nodule/shadow or whatever was detected on the lung: very likely lung cancer. That's why Bella has been breathing so poorly lately despite using an asthma spray. She keeps falling over, even when she just turns around in her dog bed. She is visibly deteriorating. It was time :-( On March 16th, Bella was relieved of her suffering and illnesses. R.I.P. dear brave Bella, cross the rainbow bridge well and greet all our already deceased animals :-( The story of Bella: The actual owner of Bella did not care and simply let her go. The already older cat "lived" for a long time on the terrace of an elderly lady. She fed the cat but did not let it into the house. The 2 kg light Bella had no shelter and mostly stayed on this terrace, as we were told by the people who took the visibly sick cat to the vet. It's quite understandable that Bella didn't leave the terrace anymore because she is almost blind. The vet diagnosed squamous cell carcinoma (ear cancer) in one ear, blindness estimated at 80-90%, and asthma. It is very likely that Bella had pneumonia at some point and retained the asthma from it. She needs her asthma spray daily in the morning and evening, which she is not particularly happy about, but there's nothing to be done!! A "normal" animal shelter usually does not take in such a cat, especially since Bella cannot be rehomed with all her illnesses. Therefore, the Tierschutzhof Ering took her in as a mercy cat. She now lives with our one-eyed red tomcat Käptn Jacky; the two get along very well and complement each other. Once Bella has recovered a bit and her health condition is stable, the ear cancer will need to be removed. She will need the asthma spray for the rest of her life.

In der Tierarztpraxis wurde ein Knoten/Schatten oder was auch immer auf der Lunge festgestellt: sehr wahrscheinlich ein Lungenkrebs. Deshalb schnauft Bella in der letzten Zeit so schlecht trotz Asthma-Spray. Sie fällt immer wieder um, selbst wenn sie sich in ihrem Körbchen umdreht. Sie baut sichtlich ab. Es war Zeit :-( Am 16. März wurde Bella von ihren Leiden und Krankheiten erlöst. R.I.P liebe brave Bella, komm gut über die Regenbogenbrücke und grüß alle unsere schon verstorbenen Tiere :-( Die Geschichte von Bella: Der tatsächliche Eigentümer von Bella kümmerte sich nicht und ließ sie einfach ziehen. Die schon ältere Katze „wohnte“ deshalb wohl schon längere Zeit auf der Terrasse einer alten Dame. Sie fütterte die Katze, ließ sie aber nicht ins Haus. Die nur 2 kg leichte Bella hatte keinen Unterschlupf und hielt sich hauptsächlich auf dieser Terrasse auf, wie uns mitgeteilt wurde von den Menschen, die die sichtbar kranke Katze zum Tierarzt brachten. Dass Bella nicht mehr von dieser Terrasse weg ging ist durchaus verständlich, weil sie fast blind ist. Der Tierarzt diagnostizierte ein Plattenepithel-Karzinom (Ohrenkrebs) an 1 Ohr, Blindheit von schätzungsweise 80-90 % und Asthma. Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich, dass Bella irgendwann an einer Lungenentzündung erkrankt war und davon das Asthma zurückbehalten hat. Sie braucht täglich morgens und abends ihr Asthmaspray, über das sie nicht unbedingt erfreut ist, aber es hilft nix!! Ein „normales“ Tierheim nimmt eine solche Katze i.d.R. nicht auf, zumal Bella auch nicht mehr vermittelt werden kann mit all ihren Krankheiten. Deshalb hat der Tierschutzhof Ering sie als Gnadenbrotkatze übernommen. Sie wohnt jetzt bei unserem einäugigen roten Kater Käptn Jacky; die beiden kommen sehr gut miteinander aus und ergänzen sich gut. Wenn Bella sich wieder etwas erholt hat und ihr Gesundheitszustand stabil ist, muss der Ohrenkrebs entfernt werden. Das Asthmaspray braucht sie für den Rest ihres Lebens.
